+Haven+

Auntie? I'm getting tired of being shocked. I'm always out of the loop. But that frustration doesn't dim how happy I am to see her.

"Tabby!" I throw my arms around her neck like I use to when I was a kid and Tyler would make me cry.

I could hear the smile on her face as she wrapped me in a hug. She smelled like freshly baked cakes. "Haven, I wasn't gone that long, only a few months."

"A few months is a few too long to me!" These last few months have been horrible. Before Kaz and Niko came I was absolutely miserable. No amount of words can describe how happy I am to see her. I squeezed my eyes shut. Trying to stop the tears from building .

"There, there, don't cry little one."

"I'm not crying!" Yet.

She rubbed the back of my head and starting speaking. "I remember when both of you use to act like Haven. So sweet and smiley and so easy to make cry. You're both all grown up now."

"Auntie we missed you too were just not cry babies." The demon said.

"Auntie! It's been so long!" Someone else threw themselves onto Tabby. And I knew it was Valerie by the way she leaned on me.

"Fine, I'm not a cry baby." The demon corrected herself.

"Fine then. You don't get a hug from Auntie!" Declared Valerie. "Right Haven?"

"Right all her hugs are for lovers of life!"

Tabby laughs deep in the back of her throat. "Alright you two enough squishing me."

Valerie let's go but I don't for a few more seconds. I'm so glad she wasn't here when things went down. I'm so glad she's okay.

I release my neck breaking grip and look up into her brown eyes. She smiles before asking, "what were the two of you fighting about? Haven isn't the type to go pick a fight with someone for no reason, neither are you, Victoria."

Before either of us could answer, Valerie blabbed. "Taj reeks of dead soles. Haven questioned it. Sis jumped to conclusions, Haven got annoyed, Sis got mad, and Haven got pissed, then you showed up."

Tabby looked at me full do disapproval. "What did you say, child?"

Taj speaks up before she could lay into me. "Haven simply asked a question and defended her point of view. Victoria jumped to conclusions and misinterpreted what she was saying.  She needs to work on that." He gives her this look.

I guess he's not a bad person. I didn't think he was but not many people would have been on my side in this situation. I wonder if he  knows about Niko.

"It doesn't matter who did what. No more fighting between you two. Understand?"

We speak simultaneously.

"Kay Tabby"

"Alright auntie."

She smiles that smile of hers and leads us back to the house. Now I just gotta explain bout the strangers there and my room. Ah~ joy.

To say she was mad was an understatement. The moment she glimpsed my room full of debris and broken wood fragments not to mention the shattered window, she was practically glaring a hole through my skull.  And that was before she saw the bloody bandage bag.

When she saw those, I knew I was in more trouble than Tyler was when he decided to steal her debit card and buy a kid in Africa, without asking her.  Back then, she had slapped him upside his big head and threatened to send him to Australia. That has to be the worse place to live with spiders the size of your hand.
