Leaning against the door frame, I watched the spectacle unfold. Not many get to witness the true power of a Sole's essence. In fact, the only person who can keep their eyes open during such is their Destined.
Haven has her back to me as she dives deep into her soul. Almost instantly, a cool breeze flows through the room. It quickly goes from light and airy to a typhoon.
Books hurl themselves around the room, the wooden chair in front of her desk crashes into the wall, breaking apart into small splinters. The glass on the window cracks and her feet slowly lift from the ground.
She stretches out both hands, instantly slowing the wind, focusing it into one of her hand.
Then comes the light. At first it's amorphous, gathering around her in an alternating colored curtain. It glows before taking the shape of the most beautiful pair of wings I've ever seen.
The changing colors eventually settle for the lightest of blues as more white light erupts around the room in little explosions. The light becomes so blinding that it obscures my sight.
The sound of glass shattering suggest the window gave in. There are reasons why true Essence isn't meant to be utilized indoors. Probably should have told her that.
The spectacle comes to and end when the light, that had gathered mixes with wind, and together they plunge into the unconscious puppy. The left over essence she conjured forth is released in a visible pulse, slamming everything against the walls.
The wings disappear and the invisible force that had risen her several feet off the ground lowers her to the floor. I didn't realize I was holding my breathe until it came rushing out of me. Sole Essence is incredible.
Walking into the room, I take in the damage. The window did indeed shatter, the chair was ground into dust, Her desk somehow tipped over, both the closet door and the door leading into the hallway have deep grooves etched into it and sections where pieces of the wood are falling off. The only thing relatively unharmed is her friend. The color has fully returned to his face and I have no doubt that he'll make a full recovery in less than an hour.
She may I've destroyed her room, but she accomplished her goal. A smile finds its way to my face as I scoop up an unconscious Haven and carry her out of the room.

I look around confused as I make my way off of the bed and towards the window. The snow that had gathered from What's his face is melting. Fast. It's water drops from the windowsill.
Does this mean Kaz got his essence back? Rushing out the door, I run downstairs and come to a halt.
Zeik is awake, out of bed, looking normal. Alex and Elliot are with him. Elliot notices me first and waves.
"Hey you're awake! Great we were getting worried." Alex comes over and throws her arms around me in a painful hug. How strong is she?
"Skye" Zeik comes over to stand in front of me. I meet him halfway and give him a hug.
"You're all better?" Tears threaten to spill out. I'm so happy i was as able to help.
"Yeah. Back to normal. No aches or pains. Nothing. It's thanks to you Sky."
"Do I not get a hug?" Elliot walks up with his arms stretch out, waiting.
Alex frowned. "No."
I smiled and hugged Elliot too.
I cast a glance at the people gathered. They did so much for me. "Thank you for all the trouble you went through just to help me. I truly appreciate it."
Alex shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, brushing off my thanks. "No need to thank us. We do what we can to help a friend."
Friend. I never been fond of that word. After Jake died, the word itself lost meaning. But today, I couldn't imagine a better group of weirdos to call my friends.
"Weirdos? That's harsh." Elliot laughed.
"Yep weirdos. You two turn into animals and you're an elf. I'm some strange version of a human with wings. Weird is the only thing I can come up with to sum up all of us."
I barely got the words out of my mouth before we started laughing. Weirdos suit us just fine.
Really short chapter, I know. But I felt as if I had to get this out there. Ziek's okay! Yay! There may be around 10 chapters left. I don't know if that includes an epilogue or not.
Either way, hope you enjoyed :D
