Kaz went all out with food. Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and Parmesan cheese. He had also cooked Macaroni and cheese in the oven! The oven! I barely know how to use the stove and he's going round making macaroni and cheese in the oven? On top of the macaroni and cheese, there are biscuits, croissants, and rolls. I look around the kitchen in awe of the glorious sight in front of me. All the different scents combine into what has to be the best smell ever.
"Uh kaz? Why so much food? "
"Why are you complaining? You love to eat." The way he said that like it was common knowledge was slightly irritating.
"I'm not complaining, just curious as to why? If I asked you to make me French toast, you get an attitude, so why all this? "
He turns and faces me, "You have to eat alot to get your strength back after traveling to your own soul. "
"But i feel perfectly fine." Even though the last time i said so, i lost control of my essence at school.
"That's because you woke up less than an hour ago. Give it 30 more minutes for it to kick in. You'll be more exhausted than you ever have in you entire life."
"Okay, but where did all this food come from" I was right on the couch with Niko for the last 10 minutes, he wasn't cooking all this food.
"Most of this i cooked while you were past out. I needed some way to take my mind off the fact that you could've fried your brain and never woken up. So i cooked. I was positive you wouldn't care what you ate."
Leaning around him, I glance at all the food on the stove, counter, and table. I'm a butt. "I'm sorry I made you worry that much. I honestly didn't think traveling to my own soul would have been that bad...but it was. I'll listen to you next time. "
A smirk spread across his face. "Really? "
I didn't like the evil glint in his eye. "Yes. "
"So the next time I tell you to do something, you'll do it, regardless of your preferences?"
"I said yeah"
"Havy, me hungry!" Niko threw his arms up, wanting to be held.
I picked him while kaz spoke. "Good then. I'm keeping you to your word. Sit down, I'll get you both some food. "
"I'm not a child. I can get my own food. "
"The last time I let you do that, you cut yourself on a butter knife. "
"In my defense, if you apply enough pressure and force to anything, it can cut you. " I set Niko up in his chair and then sat next to him.
I'll have to eat a lot to heal Ziek. But I have no doubt it will work. Maybe this over confidence comes from Kaz. He isn't freaking out, so neither am I. If Kaz is calm, then the world must be at peace because usually he nags about everything.
"How long do you think fixing Zeik should take?"
"Depends on how fast you can get back to your soul. The quickest is instantly, the longest may be all night." He replied as he sat a plate full of macaroni and cheese in front of me. Before I even asked, he handed me two biscuits. One for me and the other for Niko.
"Okay. Thanks for the food"
Kaz nodded and sat down with his plate of food.
We ate in silence for the most part. I only managed to get in a few bites before it hit me like a tidal wave. All at once, i felt exhausted. So tired. I had to fight just to lift my fork up. I hate it when Kaz is right.
I glance up from my barely touched food only to meet Kaz's grey eyes. He was scrutinizing my sluggish movements. "Feeling the exhaustion?"
"No. I just lost my appetite." I say, recognizing the look of disbelief on his face. He remains silent, frowning at my stubbornness.
Glancing away, I watch Niko reach for my biscuit. When he feels me watching, he looks up with grin on his face.
I smile as i hand him my biscuit. Niko's too cute to refuse.
"The only way to get over the exhaustion is by eating. You need to replenish your energy. So eat. Trust me, you'll feel better afterwards."
Frowning, i turn back to Kaz. "I don't feel like eating. I just want to go to sleep. Wouldn't that also replenish energy?"
He shakes his head and grabs a fork full of fettuccine from his plate. "If you go to sleep now, there's no guaranteeing that you'll wake back up in time to heal your friend. So eat." He holds his fork out for me.
"the heck? I don't need to be fed, i'm not Niko."
"Of course not, he can eat on his own. Now here." He waves the fork in front of my face.
Leaning away as far as i can in my tired state, something pokes my other cheek. Niko is holding out his little blue fork. "Aaahhh"
Now a two year old is trying to feed me. I look back at Kaz as he snickers away. The things i do to keep Niko happy.

I REALLY hate it when Kaz is right, but per usual he was right. After Niko force feed me, i started feeling much better. The exhaustion was practically swept away. I really need to listen to Kaz more. He's almost always right, but, i hate the haughty look he makes when i do listen to him.
Now, i make my way to my room. There isn't much i can do, but somehow, i know i'll heal Ziek with minimal contamination. I ease open the door and find Ziek awake.
"Hey Ziek, how are you feeling?"
"Hey Sky, I'm all right." He has that all so familiar smile on his face, and any tension i had felt melts away.
"Well, you'll be better in no time. I learned a new trick to heal you. Then you'll be all better."
"I thought so. Your eyes are doing that glowing thing again."
Oh. "Sorry if it scares you. I have absolutely no control of them."
"Not at all, i think it's amazing."
"I know im the last person who should be saying this, but i feel like someone should. You are probably one of the weirdest people i've met."
He chortles, although he sounds in pain when he does. "Ouch, i can't believe you of all people would call me weird."
I smile at that. "Nothing's wrong with being weird. I'm weird, you're weird, Alex is weird, i'm positive Elliot's a bit weird too. i guess i just like weird people. Now stay still and stop laughing." I barely hear his reply as i close my eyes. Much easier than before, i find myself looking at my soul drawing from my essences there, i can feel them course through my veins, traveling through my body and settling at my fingertips.
I focus on the essence gathering, and picture them flowing from my hands and inhabit the room. No sooner does a light wind begin flowing through my room, gradually picking up speed. Accompanying it is a light, shining bright.
I never considered what to do after drawing both the wind and the light from me, that was my main goal. To get both out, Kaz said that instincts would take over, and of course, he was right again.
Almost as if it was following a guideline, my mind's eye automatically mixed the light and wind together in a whirlpool of Essence. They collided, not with a bang, but with an array of spiraling colors, like a pinwheel. Immediately, i felt like i was back in my soul. The distant bird calls echoed from somewhere far beyond and the smell of evening dew clashed with their morning greeting calls.
I lost track of my physical body and succumbed to the harmony within.
I don't know how long i stayed there, completely numb yet feeling more alive than ever, but when my soul began fading into the complete darkness of night, i found myself back in Kaz's room. I was greeted by the early colors of sunrise and birds chirping outside the window where the snow was melting.
Yay~ i updated! No ones more surprised than me that's probably not good....oh well hope you enjoyed!
