‡Haven‡
The moment i woke up, I felt off. Something wasn't right. I stare at the ceiling in Kaz and Niko's room, not wanting to move. What is this feeling? Anxiety? Fear? No, i know what those feel like, it's not either of them. It's new. What is it?
i close my eyes as i think and then suddenly, it hits me, harder than a slap in the face. A distant memory.
The sun filtered through the trees leaving spots of sunlight on the grassy plains. We danced and swirled through the remnants of the golden days. I spin around so fast that the trees move even when i don't. Then the next thing i know, i'm on the ground looking up at the sky. The Endless blue sky. A golden leaf fall from the tree, a sign the Grey days are approaching.
"Haven." Momma comes into view. Her black hair up in a bun on the top of her head. Her eyes gleam making the purple they are glow. She crouches down and places my head on her lap. She smoothes out my hair as she begins talking. "Your special day is coming up. Is there anything you'd like?"
I look up at her before smiling. "I wanna.... uhm... go see Uncle Verrill"
She smiled brightly. "Alright we'll go see him tomorrow."
i nod happily. "is it tomorrow?"
She smiles and shakes her head. "Your special day won't arrive until the first crystal drop hits the ground." She looks up at the sky. "This time, your special day signifies that you're no longer my little girl, but the future of Danu. You'll have tough times ahead, I'm sure. But you'll make it. After all, you're the first. "
"First of what? "
"First of many"
i puff out my cheeks. "You're not making sense."
"I know. How about we spin some more. Would you like that? "
Nodding, I jump up and take her hand. Then, we spin through the golden sun stained ground.
The memory fades as fast as it came, leaving me staring at the blank ceiling once again. What the heck was that about? Turning my head to the window, i see the snow’s already touching the glass of the window. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt in this. Something has to be done, soon. Meaning i have to do something about Kaz's Essence and then something about what's his face. Ahh so much to do.
i have to start on my grand master plan. Convert enough of my essence into fire and so a fire spirit will come. Then, with the prescence of the fire spirit, the gate separating the hidden world frombthe visible will open temporarily. Then all I got a to do is lead Kaz and Niko through. It's a perfect plan
And it's all thanks to Elliot. He helped come up with it. He did his half of the plan last night, a ritual making Kaz's essence more adaptable. Now i can convert my essence into a simple fire essence, and Kaz will absorb it. Once enough is gathered in him he'll naturally attract a fire spirit.
I can't help the smile rising on my face as i skip down the stairs. My mood goes sour when i get to the bottom.
Blood coats the wooden floor by the door. there's a trail of blood as if something dragged whatever was bleeding through the living room. The trails goes around the Kitchen half wall. My throat dries as thoughts of whatever animal Melon found in my room cross my mind. He's very territorial, and when things cross into his domain, he has a habit of mutilating it and leaving it in the kitchen. Now that i think about it, i might have never closed my window. Just imagine all the strange animals making a home in there.
