~Background
You've been in a terrible fight with Law. All for some misunderstanding. You've been on the submarine, but you're distant. You said you've forgiven him, but deep inside... you still feel as if you can't trust him.~
In the crowd alone
You look around the street. Having these feelings... it's confusing. You talked to Kid about it... but he didn't really say anything. He told you to go with your heart.
But what if my heart is dead? You try to get through the crowd.
And every second passing reminds me I'm not home
You breath out and enter a store. You walk around trying to find that one item. You leave the store empty handed and look at the sky. Stained with reds and oranges.
Bright lights and city sounds are ringing like a drone
You walk down the street to the submarine. It's getting too late to stay out. I'll continue the search tomorrow.
Unknown, unknown
You get there and enter. I should tell Law I got back. You sigh and go to the infirmary. Is he here? Or in his room? You peek inside and you don't see him.
You curse your luck and make way towards Law's room. This path brings too much memories. So many unwanted. Some... too good to be true.
Oh, glazed eyes, empty hearts. Buying happy from shopping carts
You knock on the door and softly you can hear, "It's open."
You take a deep breath and enter the room. The first thing you notice is Law's sitting at a coffee table. You stay exactly where you are.
"Law. I just came to tell you that I'm back," you see him nod, "What are you even doing?"
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
"Nothing," he replies and turns back to you with a smile, "Nothing at all, (Y/n)-ya. Why do you even care?"
You open your mouth to say something, but close it because he's right. You're not dating him anymore. All he is, is your captain.
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard
You walk over to him and take what he's holding from his hand and sit down next to him. You cross your legs and turn to him. Displeasure written across your face, "Seriously Law?"
"What? You teased me about it all the time," he grabs it back and inhales the white powder, "What's so different now?"
Cocaine, dollar bills and...
"The fact you're actually doing it," you take the drug away from him and put out the end, "That's what's different. Drugs can kill you."
"So can a lot of things. Like your gun," he points to the gun attached to your belt, "You don't see me taking that away."
"I won't abuse this. You're abusing cocaine. That's why I'm taking this away," you look at him and bite your lip. He leans closer to you and in a second you can feel his lips on yours.
My happy little pill. Take me away
His hands cup your cheeks. You sit there confused on what to do. He sighs and pulls away from you.
"I can't force myself on you," he grabs the wrapping and lights it on fire again, "(Y/n)-ya, I love you too much for that."
Dry my eyes, bring color to my skies
You sit there silently and blink a few times. Why does my heart still flutter? Why can't I think straight? What has he done to me? No. I knew this ever since I met him. I still love him.
My sweet little pill. Tame my hunger
His eyes slide over to you and you force a smile. He shakes his hand and breaths out smoke. You cough and wave your hand in front of your face.
Light within, numb my skin
He laughs at your reaction and you hit him, "Quit doing drugs, you druggie!"
He laughs at you and pokes your shoulder, "No thank you."
You groan, "But Law! You haven't done drugs before! What made you take it up now?"
Like a rock I float, sweat and conversations seep into my bones
He shakes his head, "No. I started doing drugs when I met you."
You cock your eyebrow, "You've been doing drugs since you were a kid? That's a new one."
Four walls are not enough
"No you idiot," he rolls his eyes and looks into your eyes. He stresses every syllable for you, "You. Are. My. Drug."
I'll take a dip into the unknown, unknown
You blink at him and then look away, blushing, "You're such a cliché idiot."
"I'm surprised you didn't already piece that together. We are childhood friends," he looks at the ceiling and then back into your eyes, "I mean, I might have changed, but my love for you hasn't."
Oh, glazed eyes, empty hearts, buying happy from shopping carts
So cliché. You sigh, "This isn't like you Law. Is it the drugs? Please. This concerns me."
He smiles, "You're concerned about me?"
"Of course. You were my first love," you don't look at him. You still are.
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
He shakes his head, "If I could be like that towards my first love..."
"So then what was I?!" you give him a look and kick his knee, "You fell for me when we were kids! You promised I'd be your wife! We made a pinky promise!"
He chuckles, "Right. I was just seeing if you would remember that."
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard
You roll your eyes, "Yeah, right. I wouldn't doubt it if you forgot about our promise."
"I didn't," he shakes his head, "I just don't know if you still wanted to count that."
You take away his drug and try to do what he did. Only to choke on the smoke.
Cocaine, dollar bills, and...
He bursts out laughing and you laugh along with him. You hand the thing back to him, "Never again."
"I wouldn't want you to. It would corrupt your beauty," he sighs and you smile.
"Hey, Law?" you turn to him and he tries to become serious again which only makes you laugh.
"What is it, (Y/n)-ya?" Law tilts his head.
My happy little pill. Take me away
"Do you know what tomorrow is?" you swallow nervously.
Dry my eyes, bring color to my skies
"Yeah. I do," he smiles to himself, "Why?"
My sweet little pill. Tame my hunger
"Would you... like to start again?" you say softly and he turns his body to face you.
Light within, numb my skin
"If you're asking me on a date... sure," he shakes his head, "but that's normally the guys job."
Glazed eyes, empty hearts, buying happy from shopping carts
"So... we'll go on a date tomorrow... on Valentine's Day," you smile, "I'm glad."
Nothing but time to kill, sipping life from bottles
"I should be the one that's glad," he chuckles, "I'll have my drug back."
Tight skin, bodyguards, Gucci down the boulevard
"So... does that mean I'll also kill you?" you lean back, "Because drugs kill."
"They can kill," he nods, "but you don't have that retrospect."
Cocaine, dollar bills, and...
"Then... what do I have?" you look over to him.
"You're addicting," he leans over and kisses your lips again.
My happy little pill. Take me away
You kiss him back. Your arms wrap around his neck. It feels good. It's great to have this feeling back.
Dry my eyes, bring color to my skies
His hands wrap around your waist and pulls you closer. I love the warmth.
My sweet little pill. Tame my hunger
You both break away and Law addresses you, "Going back to what was said earlier..."
"What exactly?" you chuckle, "We... kind of talked about a lot of things."
Light within
"Our promise," he smiles, "You wanna give that a try? (Y/n)-ya, will you marry me?"
