A/N
This one-shot takes place 4 years before the 'two-year-time-skip' so Lucci is actually only 24! Just to give you some perspective."You're an emotionless, sadistic, jerk!" a girl with (h/c) throws back at an already angered Lucci, "Nothing can or will ever change that."
He folds his arms and glares at the female, "Yeah. That may be true, but you're an idiot that never thinks things through and always manages to make me save the day."
"Like when? I don't ever remember you ever having to save me!" she stomps her foot and swiftly turns around facing the opposite way.
He sighs, "When we were here. At the cabin. Before you became... this way. When you would greet everyone on the street with a smile. Those are still the majority of our days."
"Well I'm different now!" (Y/n) yells back and doesn't see him wince slightly at how much venom is in that sentence. It's like she didn't want to change.
"Sounds like you two are at it again," Kaku walks into the room and shakes his head, "I can't even believe you two used to be the closest out of all of us."
"Shut up blockhead!" she pushes past him; brushing his shoulder and slamming the door.
"Jeez... what happened between you two?" Kaku rubs his shoulder and casts a glance to Lucci.
"Nothing. She did this on her own," Lucci shrugs and walks out of the room.
"Jeez... (bf/n)... what are we to do about them? We came here to get the gang together... not to have them fight the whole time," he looks totally defeated as (Y/n)'s best friend tries to console him.
"Kaku... you should know this by now... they won't stop fighting. It's fine. Eventually they'll either hate each other or they'll figure out their differences and make up," she rubs his back, "Until then-"
Lucci pushes off the wall and starts to walk away mumbling to himself, "If only it were that easy. If only we could actually only talk."
---timeskip---
Lucci finds (Y/n) sitting on the dock, alone. The sunset silhouettes her body and he sighs. Something about her made his blood boil, but he didn't like them fighting. He walks towards her and she faces him about to say something, but he holds up his hand to cut her off, "Don't say anything."
She faces away and looks towards the sun. He sits by her and the air around them can be considered toxic. She moves to the far side of the dock.
"Listen, (Y/n)," he looks towards her, "I-I'm sorry for... whatever I did to make you this mad at me."
"Lying on a fake beach you'll never get a tan," she dips her foot into the water and looks over at him slightly.
"What?" his sight stays on her full of confusion, "What's that mean?"
"It means you can't take the product of something fake. If it's fake, then what are you taking away from it?" she looks at the sky hoping the starts will come out soon, "Something fake."
"Are you suggesting I'm lying?" he growls but then takes a deep breath, "Because, (Y/n), I can assure you I'm not just saying sorry for fun."
"I'm just saying. I'm not suggesting anything," she looks at her feet and then slides her gaze to him, "I... actually... wanted... to say... sorry too... but now that the time has come... I can't bring myself to say it. Sorry."
"You just said it," he gives her a smirk and she shakes her head.
"Not for the right thing Lucci," she chuckles and looks away again, "I was saying sorry that time because I can't apologize for the main subject. I just... can't see myself... going back to the way I was... everyone liked that me more. It's like... they don't see me as the same person... like they blame me for tearing the group apart."
"No. I don't. We were going down anyway. I don't like the old you more. I don't want you to change back," he swallows a lump in his throat, "(Y/n), remember when Ice-"
"Iceburg pushed you into me and you stole my first kiss?" she finishes for him, "Yeah. So vividly. You blushed from head to toe... and then Paulie made fun of you... saying you had a crush on me. Then you yelled at everyone who laughed and you told them that you'd never 'have a crush on someone as cutesie as her'. Then you continued to tell them your type, that you'd 'only date someone with a little more spunk. Someone who could stand up for themselves, and not get saved every five seconds. No matter what it may be snakes, spiders, a dog, or a mass murderer! She was scared of a rabbit for crying out loud! A rabbit I tell you!' then I slapped you and you yelled at me. I then exclaimed I hated you because 'my first kiss was supposed to be with someone who I not only loved... but loved me back.'"
"Yeah... that did happen... how long ago was that?" he looks at the sky, "Tw-thirteen? Thirteen years ago... and you still remember every word? We were...we were..."
"You were eleven. I was ten," she looks at the sky, "almost eleven. The reason my parents went to the cabin then was because it was close to my birthday and that's what I asked for. I wanted to see you. That's all. I was naïve. Ten and all I wanted was to hang out with my friends."
"That's when you started to change... was after that incident... you became... disconnected to the group. You went out into the woods one night and I was worried you wouldn't come back the next morning. When you did... I was... relieved, but I wasn't happy... you grew up without me. I still wanted you to cry for my help. Sometimes... I think a part of me still wants you to," he watches the water ripple and he grabs a rock nearby and throws it as far as he could, "At least... I want you to be able to rely on me... I want to have normal conversations without them resulting in fights all the time."
"Yeah... well... I had to be able to fight off everything in order for you to notice me. In order for that... I had to get payback from when you kissed me and made me feel something that I knew you didn't... starting fights with you gave me that," she grabs a rock and skids it across the surface of the lake.
"And why might that be?" he looks over at her and pulls his feet up on the dock.
"The only thing I feared was rejection. I needed to get rid of it. I tried and tried, but no matter how much... I still can't get the fear out of my head. I hated how you could go through every single day without the single thought of 'how do I get her to see me how I see her?' or even 'does she see me the way I see her?'. It hurt. So I changed my ways, I went out into the woods and to be completely honest I wanted to go right back to the cabin and crawl into your bed. I knew that was wrong because we were the opposite sex and we weren't related... so I stayed out all night. When you yelled at me in the morning... I wanted to cry and tell you I was foolish... that... it was stupid... but... I... I couldn't... I... couldn't... say that... I... couldn't... say... that... my love... for you... was foolish... s-so I... stood up... a-and I... I fought you. I... I'm sorry..."
"That's some confession," he says quietly as he wraps his arms around her body. He wipes away her tears and places his head in the crook of her neck. His breath seeps into her skin, "I... shouldn't have said those things to you then... don't cry. Please... seeing you cry... for some reason... it hurts. All... all I ever wanted was for you to be happy. I didn't think I was good enough, (Y/n). You deserve better. You always did, but you stuck by me... you waited until I was... you stayed hoping I would see the way you felt... but I-I was too blinded by my arrogance. I... truly felt... as if you deserved better."
"That's some confession," she whispers back to him and ruffling his hair, "you, Lucci... confessing in such a way... it's unimaginable."
"Oh... shut up," he cups her cheeks and kisses her lips. She kisses back and her arms wrap around his neck. He bites her lip and snakes his tongue into her mouth. It trails her teeth and to the roof of her mouth. She moans into the kiss and his finger trails up and down her spine.
"That's some kiss," they break away to see all their friends. (Including Kaku, (bf/n), Paulie, (f/n), Franky, Iceburg, Kalifa, Jabra, and Blueno.)
"S-shut up, blockhead!" she yells while blushing and looking away. She's so cute. Wait, what am I thinking?!
"Oh come on, (Y/n), you seriously didn't think we just saw the kiss, did you?" Jabra laughs.
"Yeah," we saw the whole thing. Both of your confessions," Blueno joins in on the taunting.
"Guys. Let them be. They've had a rough twelve years," Paulie shakes his head and gives her a smile, "(Y/n), I'm glad to hear you're doing okay."
"Yeah! I am too! And you guys should've given them a little more time and space!" (F/n) hits the boys upside the head, "Way to ruin the moment!"
(Bf/n) smacks Kaku on the forehead, "You're really an idiot. (F/n) is right. We should've acted like we saw nothing. Now we might be killed by an angry Lucci and (Y/n)."
"Not like anything can really change that right now. They both know we saw everything and we know that they love each other. They should just hook up," Iceburg gets the hit next but it's from Kalifa.
"You can't just 'hook up'! You should get asked politely. And it has to be cute!" she glares and Iceburg just shrugs because it makes no sense to him.
"Well regardless and quite frankly I thought it was all super!" Franky strikes his pose and they all laugh.
(Y/n) turns around and sighs, "Yeah... it was bound to come out eventually anyway."
"Speaking of, 'hooking up', (Y/n)... would you like to be my girl friend?" Lucci stands up and holds out his hand for her to take.
She takes his hand and stands up, "Yes. I'd love to be your girlfriend."
"That's not sarcasm is it?" he smirks knowing her all to well and before she can come up with a remark he smashes his lips onto hers, "Oh. And guys. If you couldn't guess. (Y/n)'s mine now."
They all laugh and make their way back to the cabin. (Y/n) and Lucci hold hands all the way back and before they enter the cabin he stops outside the door, "You're all mine. Mine and mine alone."~All Mine End~
