I'm sorry, this wasn't requested. I just got hit with a wave of inspiration even though I feel/felt like sh*t today. Sorry. ;-;
--------------
It was exactly like a dance.
Everytime she'd take a step, he'd take the same one. His whole presence practically engulfed her. It crushed her until she felt like there was nothing left.
How you took everything easily.
Her breath would catch. Strangely, she didn't mind. She maybe even lived for those few moments when all she could think about was him. Her parents didn't approve, but that just made it bittersweet.
Then gave it back just the same.
The world was complete when they were together. Bannish her to the farthest point of the island. Disown her. As long as she had him, she'd be happy.
How you hold me.
She especially felt like she belonged in his arms. The dark of the night embracing them. Telling them they could make it. Telling them, that it approved.
How you kiss me.
She would remeber the way he kissed her until the next time he came. He would brush (h/c) strands away from her (e/c) orbs, lean in at the right time. Then lightly, like she was porcelain, he would kiss her lips.
And kiss me again.
He would then look into her eyes and mumble three words that made her world light up. He would lean in again and kiss her. He'd kiss her until no other thought plagued her mind.
Then kiss me harder.
He'd get so caught up in the kisses that he'd pull her into a tight embrace. Her stomach would flutter, the wind would surround them, everything fell perfectly when he was there.
How you'd love me...
He'd mutter the words again and again. He only spoke the truth during those times. He only spoke of how he thought of her. He only spoke of... how much he truly loved her. How he'd never abandoned her.
Only to leave me.
The next day, she'd wake up like it never happened. She lived for the day when he would ask her to leave with him, but he wouldn't. He wouldn't make her do something foolish. Become a pirate? Loose everything? No. Live your life to the fullest, love.
You'd break me.
She felt alone, but then she'd remember he'd be back. He always came back. Always. She'd stare out the window and yearn for his touch. Yearn for him to say those words.
But I'd wait for you.
She would smile to herself. Waiting. Her parents thought she was a lost cause, but she knew better. She knew that eventually, he'd ask her. Eventually, everything will work out.
Always in wait.
She would watch the birds and the bees. The flowers gave off a wonderful scent; it was nothing in comparison to him. Sure, this all sounds really stupid, but she was in love. She loved him. Truly.
I was foolish.
She was once called into a meeting with her parents. They discussed her future. They discussed what they thought would be the best plan of action. She was to be married away in a few months.
But that happens when you're in love.
She despised them. She despised the system. Why can't women do the same things men can? Why can't we just as easily choose our future? I choose for myself. Not my parents. They brought me into this world, that I am grateful for, but this is where I'm in charge.
I'd wait forever until you're ready.
She grabbed a knife, ready to lay down her life for the one she loved. She wasn't going to betray his everlasting love, she'd rather die than disgrace her heart.
But I have very little time left.
She was ready. Oh so ready to just die, but something told her to wait a few more seconds. She closed her eyes to ready for the pain. She felt a hand wrap around hers on the handle.
There was no time to explain.
"What are you doing?" his voice floated through her ears and she started to cry, "(Y/n), what's the matter?"
All I wanted was for you to tell me.
"I'm being married off! I can't let myself be defiled by someone else, I love you," she let go of the knife, she looked him in the eyes, "I can't see myself with anyone else. Please, let me die."
I wanted you to say, those three words.
"No. I won't. (Y/n), I love you more than I care for myself," he pulled her into an embrace, he kissed her passionately, "You expect me to be able to kill you?"
But what you did say, surprised me.
She blinked, slightly confused. Sure he'd told her he loved her. Sure she knew that he only told the truth, but this still shocked her. He got down on his knees and took her hand, he kissed it before looking into her (e/c) eyes.
To this day, I have no idea why you said those three words.
"Marry me, (Y/n). I'm ready to take you onto my crew. I'm finally prepared to lay my life down for yours," he kissed her fingertips, "All you need to say is yes, and we can leave."
If you asked me that again today, my answer wouldn't change.
"Of course. I love you," she kissed his lips, "I don't ever want to be away from you."
I would always ask you the same question, (Y/n).
They ran away that night. Far from the castle. They sailed away from that island. He taught her things to break away from the stereotypes. He doesn't need to protect her any more. That won't stop him. Nothing will.
I'm happy with you.
Nothing made him happier than the next three words she spoke to him, "You're a dad."
Don't worry. I'll protect this family, I'll lay my life down. You're the light. You're the love. You're the reason I breathe. I love you.~Three Words End~
