I knock the ice, from my bones.
She throws on a coat and breaths in the air. Come on, put it on. We don't want you getting sick now. She smiles bitterly as she zips the coat up. She sighs and wraps around a scarf, as she stuffs her hands into gloves. She swings the door open ready to brave the cold, only to see someone at the door she didn't want to.
Try, not to feel the cold.
His signature smile still in place. As she tries to close the door in his face, he sticks his foot in the small gap. She lets out a sigh of frustration and glares at him, only to stare in his eyes.
Caught, in the thought of that time,
"Whoa, wait. Let me speak for myself, okay?" he bares her his teeth, "(Y/n), I know I haven't bee-"
When everything was fine,
"Why didn't you answer your phone?" she croaks out and starts to feel the cold creep into the room, "Why did you ignore me for weeks?"
Everything was mine.
She clearly remembered how he would drop whatever he was doing for her. How he'd love her like she was the only girl. How he kneeled down and proposed. The wedding bells and the vows. How they talked about having a family. The tears and the smiles.
Everything was fine,
Until his work started to pick up, then he would go away. Contact would halt, there was always something better to be doing than to spend time with his wife. Always. Something.
Everything was mine.
And just this past week, her (favorite family member) had just passed away. He wasn't anywhere in sight, so she had to deal with the heartbreak alone.
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
Sure, her other family members and friends tried to cheer her up. In fact, that's why she's left the house five days ago. Her best friend was dragging her out to party. Of course she tried to decline, but in (Name)'s book, no doesn't mean no. The party didn't end well anyway, (Name) ended up getting too drunk. And... the rest speaks for itself.
Couldn't put me back together again.
"(Y/n), are you listening to me?" he pushes the door farther open and titles his head; now that she takes time to look, she realizes his hair has grown out a bit more than it should, "I was trying to explain myself, but your eyes just sort of... glazed over. Is everything okay?"
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
"(F/f/m/n) died," she bites her lip; which to him is the cutest thing she does when she's worried or depressed, "and you weren't there for me... I felt abandoned. You weren't even talking to me... I-I was scared. I didn't want to loose you too. I-I know it sounds selfish, b-but-"
Couldn't put me back together again.
He pulls her into his arms and kisses her lips forcefully. She finally feels safe for the first time since he left. Damn. I can't be mad at you when you do this to me. When he pulls away, his usual smirk fades when her notices she's crying and his eyes widen.
Run, with my hands on my eyes.
"(Y/n), what's wrong? I..." he avoids his eyes and a strand of hair falls slightly in his eyes as his face burns pink, "I-I'm..."
Blind, but I'm still alive.
Is he trying to apologize? He still get embarrassed with that? She grabs his hand and pulls him inside the door, when he gives her a puzzled look, "I-I got cold! Don't think I've forgiven you just yet!"
Free to go back on my own,
He nods and grabs her hand, brings it to his lips, and places a kiss on her covered fingertips, "I know, and... I-I'm... sorry, but I'm home now?"
But is it still a home, when you're all alone?
He takes off the glove on her hand and runs his thumb over the ring he got her for their wedding. His smiles finds itself at home on his face again as he bends down to kiss it this time. He looks up into her eyes and whispers into her ear, "You're not alone anymore. I'll never leave you alone again. I won't allow it."
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
"Quit acting like you can do that when you just got back. You have work too, you know?" she takes her hand out of his and turns her head. Quit acting all crazy. It's creeping me out.
Couldn't put me back together again.
"Alright, but I won't go on another trip, and if I do, I'll take you with me. I promise, because, even if I don't show it, I love you," he places his hand on her head and ruffles her hair, "Let me prove it to ya."

------Extended Ending... sort of...------
Then, if Doflamingo isn't a king's man, or a king's horse, then what is he?

The answer is simple, he's a wizard. A wizard. He's magic.
