Remember a while ago when I said I'd publish two at a time. Yeah, that's not happening. And if this is a little weird... I was reading some Wattpad Cliches and... I don't the authors notes kind of rubbed off on me a little. So forgive me if it's nothing like you wanted/were expecting.

-------
She decided to stay behind. She felt almost like a burden to the rest of the crew, that and the fact that she was expecting didn't make her feel comfortable. She didn't want to weigh them down, and she didn't want Luffy to stop perusing his dream.
She lets out a sigh as she gazes at the horizon and wonders what Sanji cooked for them. She's going to starve herself if she keeps thinking about it, so she lays down on the grass and takes a deep breath.
How much longer does this have to be like this? It's only been a few months, but she already misses them. Sure, Luffy calls like every single day, but it's just not the same as seeing them in person. And don't even get her thinking about the times where he can't call because the crew is going through some weird patches of getting busy.
Worrying about all of this isn't safe for the baby, but what else can she do? It's not exactly like she can just get a job and she's not really an extroverted person so talking to the people in town is a little out of the question. She lets out a sigh, every day as the rest of the months go by.
Soon, almost without her realizing it, her life is too busy to worry about the Straw Hats. Taking care of her baby comes first, and when Luffy calls, good for him, but he hasn't in a while. Once she notices this, then she starts to worry, and she realizes maybe she took him calling for granted.
Of course she did, he was the father of her child, wait, did she even tell him the she had a baby? No, she doesn't remember telling him. She remembers not wanting to tell him that she was going to have his child, but she did want to tell him that-the next thing she knows is a knock echoes in the house.
She wipes the flour off her hands from the bread that she decided to make before getting lost in her thoughts. She opens the door, one surprise after another, it's Luffy. That explains why he didn't call. He can keep surprises at all when he's talking to (Y/n).
The baby starts to cry from their room, Luffy tilting his head to the side, "What's that sound, (Y/n)? Well, I'm not completely stupid, I know what the sound is... but... who's baby is it?"
"Luffy... don't get mad at me..." she lightly grabs his shoulder, bringing him inside. The boy has matured over the last year, probably only facially, she could never see him mature mentally but who knows what could change Luffy. "But I need to tell you something ab-"
"Did you cheat on me?" he asks: his eyes searching her face to see any kind of movement, some kind of sign that says she cheated. "Did you not want to be in a relationship with me anymore and you've gotten married without telling me... and now you have a baby with a new man because being in love with a pirate is too hard?"
"Okay... then..." she stares at him for a few seconds trying to figure out where this came from. "Has Robin been reading you too many romantic novels? Or maybe that's what Sanji told you would happen? Because none of that is true... so your head is filled with something... the truth is not it."
"Oh," he slumps down, almost like he was expecting to be right. "Dang it. I thought that I was going to have to fight someone to win back your heart."
There's something wrong with this Luffy. Someone take him back.
"No. The baby is yours. I just... couldn't find it in myself to tell you... I'm sorry. I wanted to make sure that the baby would be okay, so I stayed here as I left the crew," she looks down, but only seconds before he tackles her into a hug. "L-Luffy...?"
"And here I thought you left because you didn't love me anymore. Or being with me was becoming too much of a pain. Or-" she grabs his cheeks and stares into his eyes. "(Y-Y/n)?"
"I love you Luffy, don't ever think any differently."
