I. Hate. Homework. I absolutely, positively hate it. What's the point?! I don't need to know the square root of a metric cubic thing or anything of that sort. I just need personal finance, know my rights and know how to read and follow directions. That's all!

I was sitting in my room and the next door over was my brothers room. He had his stupid friends over so that means I can't focus. They're always loud and they annoy me deliberately. Just because I'm the youngest in the house, they think it's okay to pick on me. It's rude, honestly.

I groaned toyself and crawled off my bed. I pounded my fist on the wall, "CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP?!"

They got quiet for a second then blasted the television. Ugh!

I walked out of my room and busted through his door, "Be quiet! I'm trying to do my homework and I can't focus if you guys are being loud," I said irritatedly.

"Then go downstairs," my brother said monotone. Mt jaw drops, "why don't y'all go downstairs? Be rowdy and noisy down there," I said crossing my arms. His friends just laughed with him, "or else what?" I rolled my eyes, "you wanna know what I'm going to do?" "You won't do anything," one of his friends said acting all bad.

I walked into his room and ripped out the cable chords to his gaming system. He screamed, "what the hell Y/n?! I didn't save that!" His friends laughed at him this time, 'ooo'ing and 'awe'ing at him. Oh poor baby

I shrugged, "oh well," I dropped the chords, "next time, I'll get cold water and pour it on the system, now shut. The fuck. Up, so I can focus." With that, I left the room.

Fifteen minutes. It has been totally silent. They all eventually went downstairs and outside to play football.

I was writing down a formula to use when there were three knocks on my door, "this isn't the bathroom," I called.

"I know" Justin walked in and shut the door.

"What do you want?" I snapped. I was confused but mostly annoyed.

"Just wanted to apologize for being loud, and for the other guys for being dicks,"

"Their actions aren't yours to take the blame for, but alright." I said focusfocusing on my work.

"Do you need help?" He asks nicely. I look up and he had a genuine expression.

"Do you know what this is?" I said pointing to the notes and endless homework packets.

"Honestly, not much, but I can try,"

I shrugged, "I'm failing anyways, wouldn't make a difference if you didn't know much either anyways,"

"Damn," he laughs.

"What?"

"Blunt now are we?" He smiles. Since when did my brother have hot guys as friends?

I felt a pink fizzle on my cheeks, "yeah, I guess,"

And this, this moment is when a great friendship began. The friendship turned to something more, and now, Justin and I are engaged.
