"I heard Justin has a thing for you." Holly says with a cheeky grin. Both Holly and Y/n stood before their grey lockers. A small smile appears on Y/n lips, "whatever." She replies, feeling her cheeks tingle. She didn't believe it, but her mind soaked up the thoughts of what if's. "Honest! It's kind of weird if you think about it. He doesn't date, but he's had his eyes on you the say you accidentally walked in the boys locker room instead of the girls. So says Brian."
"You've got this information from Brian? You know he lies like a rug." Y/n sighed, "I knew it was too good to be true."
"Well, yeah but he's Justin's best friend. Wouldn't he know how his best friend feels about someone else?"
Almost wanting to laugh at her oh so brain dead friend, she says, "guys don't gossip like us females do."
She closes her locker only to turn around and smash almost ironically into a hard chest. Bursting with apologies, she hadn't taken the time to notice whom she bumped into. Only that he smelled delicious and most definitely had firm muscles. "Woah there." Just the sound of his voice made her palms sweat, "here let me help you."
"Hi Justin." Holly quirks. Y/n looks up and bashfully smiles. "I'll see you in bio." Holly smirks before walking away. Y/n looked up at Justin realizing she was still on the ground with all her supplies. He knelt down to her level and helped her pick up her books and journals trying to hold her gaze. She was sure hee cheeks were bright red, as Justin did notice she was blushing.
"Thank you." She says. "Yeah, it was my fault. I wasn't looking." "Neither was I." Justin handed her her notebooks with a smile, "here." She couldn't maintain eye contact, she found it rather intimidating. "Y/n, right?" He knew her name. She nods, "Justin, right?"
He smiles. The way his name rolled off her tongue made him feel something rather unfamiliar, it was bad, but he wasn't sure if it was good either. She's obviously a beautiful girl. She's hard not to look at. He likes the way she said his name.
And it was just his name.
The bell rang for class and Y/n felt relied. The awkward ten tion she was beginning to feel was unbearable. "I gotta get to class." She mutters shyly.
He mods, "yeah, I'll see you around." He smiles in hopes to actually see her next period.

"All right class, there is give minutes until bell, chit chat for the rest of the hour. Homework are on pages 213 to 220. Unit quiz Friday and... And that's all. Enjoy the rest of your day." Ms. Ruben smiles, taking a sest at her desk."Soooooo, what happened? Did y'all fall madly in love with each other? Plan that winter wedding you've always wanted?" Holly began. Jokingly of course.
"Nothing happened but pure awkwardness." Y/n sighs.
"Huh... I swear I thought I saw you blush and hide behind your hair."
"You did." Y/n laughs.
The girls discussed homework at whoever's place before bell.
Justin left class five minutes before bell just so he can talk to Y/n again. He spent all psychology thinking about her. The irony.
When Y/n walked out, she was preoccupied with Holly, explaining that her little brothers baseball game is Friday. "Y/n, I love Jakob like a brother, but his team sucks." "That's not nice! They're a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds, what do you expect? Practice makes perfect." Y/n laughs
That's when Justin had an idea. "Baseball, eh? I play baseball with my little brother every other weekend." He puts himself in the conversation so casually, the sudden pop up didn't startle Y/n, it made her curious, "are you following me?" She asks jokingly. This was different from their earlier encounter, she took Holly's advice. Just act natural. He smiles cheekily, "no, just over heard you talking about baseball."
