Chapter 29

I'd say the night is long because I have never felt so rested in my sleep. But today, when the sun's rays woke me up, I feel so refreshed and full of energy. Then I remembered, I allowed Cleo to sleep with me on the bed.

'That is the reason why we're so rested.' My wolf says to me while yawing. She have just woken up and she's already getting in on me about what a great idea it is to let Cleo stay the night.

'What ever. You're so happy thinking of her where in you should be worrying about our sister.' I scolded her for being so calm and carefree.

"Good morning." Cleo greets beside me while yawning.

"Good morning." I greeted in return then went out of bed heading to the closet.

I really need to check on Meg. I have to make sure that she's okay and no one will stop me. She is my only family left, even though Alpha said that she's only my half sister nothing will change.

'Sky, I'm okay. Please relax. You already found your mate. Enjoy her company for now.' Meg's voice came to my mind.

'I want to see if you're okay big sis.'

'I am. Sam is taking good care of me. And I know that you don't like Cleo but give her a chance. Tomorrow both of you will be too busy with school. Take the rest of the day to bond. And know each other more.'

'Gosh. You too? Why does everyone gives so much meaning to it? It's so ugh! Okay fine. I will, but later we'll go home okay?'

'Yes ma'am. Now go to your mate who's waiting on the bed.'

The last words she said rings in my head as if she's trying to say something. I tried to ask her what she means but I can no longer connect with her. For sure, she've closed herself on me.

So with her words, I came back to the bed and laid myself back down. Cleo was on her side while leaning on her hand. She is giving me a questioning look but I just shrugged it off.

"My sister gave you the whole day to be with me. Turns out she's too motivated to make me go soft on you."

"I don't care if you're not. I wont change how you are with me. See, I'm willing to wait."

"Aww. Where did the bitch go? You went soft over night Cle."

"Well I'm glad she's gone because now you've just given me a nickname."

"Whatever. You suck."

And that was the start of one of the longest days I had. I continued to bitch Cleo around while she struggles to make me feel how happy and proud she is that I am her mate. It took around an hour until I got bored and left to take a shower.

When I finished Cleo was no where to be seen so I went down to have breakfast. But when I got to the kitchen, Cleo was already cooking for the both of us. I got disappointed because I want to cook for myself so I got seated on one of the stools and busied myself with my phone.

Then I heard some girls enter the kitchen exchanging comments and chuckles about how cute Cleo and I were. I would like to scold at them for being so noisy so early in the morning but I stopped myself. I will definitely destroy the rest of the day if I'll allow them to get on to me. Besides, I promised Meg that I'll give Cleo a chance.

"You're starting to soften up." Cleo disturbed the silence.

"I am not."

I said grabing a carton of my favorite OJ from the fridge and started to walk off. Until Sam came in to the kitchen and stopped me on my tracks.

"Hey! I was looking for you. Meg's better now and is talking with the Alpha and Luna she will be with them for the rest of the day. Want to go out?"
