Chapter 42

Dani's POV

It has been a month since I last saw Sky and since that day both Amber and I learned a lot. We have decided that it is best to stay safe and stay prepared. We are no longer being watched by our parents goons but we never fail to be careful.

Thinking back to when Amber told me about how my parents knew Sky. I wondered why they stayed on the sidelines. They are wolf hunters but then again they did not participate in the killing process. Fact is there is no clear information on who killed Sky's parents.

"Hey! You're zoning out again." Amber made clear to have my attention back. "I'm sorry." I said while fixing my one arm side plank. "I can't even believe that you could do that now." Amber states chuckling while doing squats.

I can't believe how strong we have gotten with just a month of training. Well we even enjoyed training and our parents have supported us with all we need. Of course that is as long as they do not see us anywhere near a werewolf.

Showing the public that we are no longer, once again, friends with Sam. It is hard to keep our connection from everyone. Once in awhile we say how foolish this all is but we never really cared. As long as we keep safe and prepared we will all be okay.

SAM'S POV

Sky have not yet awaken from her unexplained slumber. It had been more than a month now but we are surviving the pain of seeing her so fragile. I do not know if she is in pain or what but I guess we can never be sure of what is happening to her now.

We are now all gathered here at the pack house. Well it is more of the back yard of the pack house and we are waiting for what Alpha John has to say. Rouge and I have been good friends since we are always together plus the fact that she now lives here in the pack house. But I now became more attached to Meg for since that night that I looked after her she had treated me as her own sister.

It also had come to my knowledge that Cleo have stopped going to Sky's room every now and then. Which is actually a great improvement for her. I have also seen her start to train with others the other day. Maybe it had come to her senses that she won't gain anything beneficial by staying 24/7 at Sky's bed side.

A nodge on my side took me off of my busy mind. And when I turned to see who it was. Rouge and Meg are wildly grinning at me. "What?" I asked them with irritation. "You're out of it again." Meg states while Rouge said. "Who are you daydreaming about this time?" But all I answered was "whatever."

When the Alpha came out, everyone went dead silent. Alpha John is really so intimidating with him being an Alpha still at 56 plus a body of a very fit 30 year old man. When he cleared his throat her facial expression changed to something more serious. Then he began his speech.

"Good day everyone. I know that winter is never a great time for us but we will all survive the cold. Today have marked the month of Skylar's deep slumber. I know some of you worry while some don't even care that much. But for now I am removing Skylar's tittle until she wakes up. The person who will be taking over her position will be Cleo, her mate.-"

Before Alpha John could have finished someone shouted. "Well she's the original future Alpha. So its just about time to give the position to a pack memeber. Instead of a outsider." Some gasped while others agreed. But I sure did not missed hearing the growls that came from people who loved or liked Skylar.

"Silence!" The Alpha shouted with his Alpha voice that made everyone dead silent in an instant. "I will not tolerate this disrespecting manner that you show over Skylar. I want everyone to know that this is just a precaution just in case something happens."

I nodded in agreement with Alpha John. I don't know why but my anger easily subsided within a beat. 'That is because you have changed alot. As I have expected.' Sky's very familiar voice came to my mind. But before I could even ask or say anything. Someone from the pack shouted.
