Chapter 50: Twist and Turns

The pack house got so silent as the minutes passed by. 'How can they be so quiet?' I asked myself but was soon answered by Meg who is standing right outside Alpha John's office. "They are all worried about Cleo. Plus, they are mourning for their dead." Meg's face filled with sadness.

Walking closer to my dear sister. I engulfed her with the warmest and most apologetic hug that I can give. "I'm so sorry for taking his life." I asked forgiveness for what I have just done. "He deserved what happened to him. He fell to the darkness." Meg's voice is full of anger and hatred for the things Nate had done to her.

"We perfectly understand if you feel that way." Rouge broke our silence. 'I think it's time to tell them.' My wolf suggested in which I agreed to. "Great. Your here. We three need to talk" I said letting go of Meg. Both gave me questioning looks but I have already started to walk towards the door when Rouge spoke and asked. "Aren't you going to check on Cleo?"

I stood just a few feet away from the door and said. "I will aftet we're done talking." Then I continued to walk out. Not a few moments I heard them following me in to the woods. Guess they understood how serious I am as of the moment 'cause none of them said a word until we reached the only place that I last remembered before I was brought to Luna.

"What are we doing here." Meg's voice is strained showing how she is trying so hard to keep calm. "Chill Meg. Nothing will happen. Nothing like that." I made sure to them that I will no longer be taken to some place. As i sat down to a rock, Rouge went over to Meg holding her hand to help her calm down faster.

The scene in front of made me smile. 'They will accept this easier than expected.' I said to myself. Once Meg cooled off, they too sat on a rock not far from me. "So. Have you found your sister yet?" I asked looking at a confused Rouge.

"Who told you that my sibling is a girl?" She asked with her eyebrows furrowed. "Well. I know more than you think. And don't think of me as something else. I didn't know until Luna brought me back." They both stayed quiet as I looked at them seriously.

"Two friends liked one girl. But the girl only like one of them. They became a couple that everyone envied. Soon it was eneded when the guy found his mate while the girl found out that she is mated to the boyfriend's best friend. But before all this happened the girl was already pregnant with the other guy's pup."

"Wait. So is this the story on how will I know who my sister is?" Rouge asked, interupting me from my story. I nodded then proceeded with where I left. "So when the three of them found out. They all agreed to keep it a secret and the child will be named after the girl's mate."

I stopped for air while waiting if there are any questions. But when no one reacted I stood up and walked towards them. I stopped just a feet away from them, got down on their level and took Meg's hands. "You may have lost your mate. But I'm sure luna will give you a better one. But for now you'll need more than one sister to help you through the day."

Finishing my sentence I brought her hand to Rouge's and said. "Rouge, I would like you to protect her more than your life especially if I am not around." Their gaze are questioning but Meg was the one who asked "Sh-she is my-" I nodded not letting her to finish.

Meg smiled but tears started to run down her face. Then she engulfed Rouge in to a bearhug. Still shocked of the news, Rouge didn't move until she had processed everything that had just happened. With tear filled eyes, she too had Meg in a tight hug. I smile at them while going back to the rock where I was seated earlier.

In a few seconds I was already drifting on my own world. Without giving them any attention I enjoined the company of myself and the low breeze. Not knowing how much I have been looking in to nothingness my attention got brought back to Meg and Rouge who are looking at me with wide grins on their faces.
