Chapter 60: Taking it slow

"So how are you taking things?" Sky had sat beside me after talking with the Council, Alpha Victoria and the Elders of the Blood Moon pack. The gang had left me alone in silence as they have decided to dance in the middle. "Well, other than the glares that may shoot daggers at me because I took you from the rest of them. I think I can manage." I continued to watch the others dance then took another sip of my beer.

"Don't worry Dani. I'm not rushing anything. And if they try and give you a hard time I'm here to help." Her words mean a lot to me and somehow made me at ease. I then decided to lean my head in to her shoulder which cause her to stiffen. But after awhile she relaxed and kissed my temple which made me smile as my face heat up.

"Awe you two are too cute for your own good." Cleo teased as they neared us. They had finally decided to stop dancing like crazy people. "You're not jealous now, are you?" Skylar then teased back which earned a whimper from Alex. Cleo then turned to her and cupped her face telling her that what Sky said is not true. She also told her that she's the only one that she'll love until forever which made Alex smile the widest I ever seen on her since we arrived.

"I already told you Alex. Mark her already." Sky stated then sipped on her beer. I looked back at Cleo and Alex then smiled as a blush started to claim on Cleo's cheeks. "She has changed a lot." I stated looking at Skylar. "Yes indeed. And when she met Alex she became a much better person than she is. Alex showed us the real Cleo." She spoke not looking at me but her gaze is set on a straight line.

When I followed her line of sight I saw that she is looking at a group of girls mumbling to themselves and looking our way. I felt a tingle of jealousy and i hate to think of it. But i know she is giving them her attention even if she knew that they're flirting with her. "Skylar." I called on to her not even thinking twice.

"Yes?" She said now looking at me. And again not thinking twice I reached for her face and caressed her lower lip with my thumb. "What are you doing?" She asked confused but her eyes shows amusement as to why I'm acting strange. "I may not mark you yet but I am your Luna and I would like to mark my territory." Then I pulled her to me connecting our lips in the process.

As I let go of the kiss and opened my eyes I see that a smile is slowly creeping in to her lips. Then she opened her eyes with her blue silvery orbs shining brightly. "You do know how to mark a territory." She mumbled now with a smile. "Isn't that what I supposed to do? Show who has authority?" I asked looking back at the group of girls that were flirting with her earlier.

The girls are no longer looking flirty rather they are now looking at me with pointy glares. " I take it you have just made your point and claimed your territory." Skylar stated amused at the current situation. I pulled my hand away from her which give her the ability to move and sip on her bottle of beer.

"Cheers for your first conquer." Sam suddenly stated taking our attention. Looking for her I turned and saw that she is holding her bottle up in the air. I lifted mine towards her and we drank. Skylar laughed at our silliness but did not utter any word. I smiled at her then continued to watch at everyone else.

We stayed out drinking and having fun until there are only a few left outside. It is almost midnight and I'm kind of exhausted to I excused myself and headed back inside. I was half way through when I heard Skylar calling for me. I stopped and waited for her to get near then continued to walk once she reached my side.

"Are you going to bed now?" She suddenly asked. I nodded and ask if she needed anything before I retreat to my bedroom or if there's any problem. Her mouth opened but no words came out so I got curious. "Spill it out Skylar." I stated in a warning tone. She just gave me a sly smile and raked her fingers through her red hair.
