Chapter 39

Sam's POV

After I walked Dani to her Hummer I did not left. As instructed by Sky I made sure she got home safe. By that yes, I went over the fact that Dani's whole family are hunters. Werewolf hunters for that matter. And I followed her until she got home.

When I had made sure that she have safely gone inside I immediately ran back to the waterfall where Sky and Meg would be waiting for me. I ran taking my time to get there while thinking why I suddenly felt like protecting Dani and how I suddenly felt stronger than usual.

The sound of a twig snapping not far from me caught me in my tracks. Standing still I looked around for where the noise came from. But all I heard was silence and the chirping of the birds far away. I was to run again when another twig snapped. Now it was more closer to me.

Before I even got the chance to scan my surroundings. I got tackled and pinned to the ground. Trying to escape my attcker, I did not think much but kept on attacking to get loose from this person. But yet again I got pinned to the ground.

Feeling my wolf surfacing I let out a growl trying to scare off my attacker. But the person just laughed at me. And what was so ironic was the fact that the person who attacked me is non other than Rouge. This was the second time that she have done this to me and I will not let it happen again.

"You. Are. So. Cute!" She says in between laughs. And so I took it as the opportunity to get off of her grasp. Which I had successfully made and then getting up a couple of feet way from her.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked her my voice full of irritation. "I am here looking after you." She said calmly with a grin. "You are enjoying this aren't you? Why did you tackle me?" I ask her questions that easily came out of my mind.

Then she just looked at me dead serious and once again I am tackled to the ground with her pinning me with both hands up my head. Then she spoke in a very rough and controlled voice. "Because I just can't help it." Then she quickly leand in and kissed me.

When our face parted I could see her eyes where glazed. But I am too shocked with what she did that I just stayed there staring straight at her. While thinking why she have done that and how I have just gotten my first real kiss.

She never took her eyes off of me and so did I to her. Then I suddenly got my sanity back and asked. "Why did you do that? Why are you playing with me?" Her facial expression chaged but immediately got back to the cooky grin she had put up to everyone. Then she said. "You'll know soon love."

Then she left. As if nothing happened I am left alone in the woods wondering what had just happened. But I quickly regained myself and started removing any dirt that is on my clothes and on my skin. Then I checked my hair for any leaves or roots that I had caught when Rouge pinned me to thw ground. When I had made sure that there are no more proff of what had happened.  I rushed back to where Meg and Sky where.

I am a few feet away from them when I heard them talking regarding their parents. I do not know if I should come near them or if I should just keep my distance for a while. Until I have decided that I should get back to them just to let them know that I have arrived. So when I got near them I apologized to Sky for not getting back immediately. But she just smiled and nodded then asked me to sit anywhere to join their conversation.

I do not know what is whit this two but they seem to not care that another person not part of their family is their with them while they discuss their family issues. Well, I already knew some of the things Meg is talking about so I just sat silently watching them. That is until Sky gave me a questioning look and asked me to explain.

I just smiled then gave her a simple answer. "Everyone knew the story of our ancestors Sky. Specially our family that came from one of the first wolves that were created."
