Because the house we rented is suuuuper creepy👻
Ugh... How much longer should I continue this book? I was thinking 50 chapters, a nice divisible number (Psh who am I kidding? I've been doing this for a year, no reason to stop now)
Michael: (3.5 today)
"Y/N did you eat the pizza I left on the counter last night?" Michael yelled up the stairs to you in your room. You sat up on your bed and set down the magazine you were reading."No," you yelled back, "why would you leave pizza out overnight?"
"Fridge was full," he shouted. You got up and went down the stairs so you could talk to him properly. He looked a little shaken up, glancing at you and then down the hallway at the kitchen.
"So what happened exactly?" You asked, walking with him down to the scene of the crime.
"After we had pizza for dinner last night there were a few slices left over and the fridge was full, so I just wrapped them in foil and left them on the counter," Michael sighed.
"And they were gone when you got up?" He nodded and pointed to a spot on the counter where there was some shredded aluminum foil but definitely no pizza. "Well that's mighty peculiar."
"I know right, what do you think did it?" He paled a little and shuddered at something you didn't see.
"I'm not sure," you admitted.
"Not sure about what?" Calum strolled in through the front door and into the kitchen.
"Well hello to you too," Michael muttered. Calum rolled his eyes at your brother and turned to you.
"Some pizza disappeared last night," you answered.
"Oh that's easy, it's a ghost," Calum picked up an apple off your counter and examined it.
"A ghost?" Michaels face scrunched up a little at that suggestion.
"Yeah, dead people gotta eat too," he rubbed his apple a little on his shirt then took a big bite out of the middle.
"What? No they don't," you scoffed.
"Okay well what about other ghostly things then," Calum said, wiping some juice from his chin, "do you hear noises when you're alone? Do doors open or close? Stairs creak?"
You chewed on your lip a little while he said this, recently some weird things had been happening around the house. Michael nodded enthusiastically.
"The other day I swore I heard someone walking above me," he looked at you with wide eyes.
"But why did it just start bothering us then?" You frowned.
"Maybe you made it mad," Calum suggested, throwing his apple core into the trash. "Point is we need to investigate to see if we can get rid of it."
"Investigate what?" Luke strolled in, Ashton right behind him.
"I need to start locking that door," Michael shook his head.
"Michael made a ghost that lives in his house mad and we need to get rid of it," Calum explained.
"Ghosts don't exist," Ashton replied quickly.
"Don't listen to him, there's always a skeptic," Calum waved him off and pulled all of you into the living room.
"What are you doing?" Luke complained when Calum shoved him down on the couch.
"We need to watch one of those ghost shows so we know how it works," Calum replied, surfing through the channels. It turned out none of those were on so you watched Poltergeist the move instead because 'it was basically the same thing'. After it was over he left, muttering about how he couldn't do anything until it was dark out anyway.
