I've been saving this topic for the 1 year anniversary of this book, but I don't remember what day of July it was and I'm too lazy to look.
I checked and already forgot, I think it's the 28th?
Do y'all want me to do the 'staple' chapters? Like: 'you get knocked up', 'you're dating another member', 'you get knocked up by another member', 'he doesn't approve of _____', etc.? I don't know if it's like a rite of passage or something?
Luke:
It was late morning, the sun streamed in through your curtains, a golden beam settling right on your sleeping face. You groaned still half asleep and pulled the pillow out from under your head to shove over your face. You settled back down and smacked your lips a few times, ready to go back to sleep when your phone went off."GET UP IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!" A message you had pre-recorded a few weeks ago blared. Your eyebrows furrowed, birthday? Birthday! Suddenly you shot up and squealed.
"PRESENTS HERE I COME!" You announced, not bothering to change as you ran down the stairs. You made a beeline for the corner of the living room which had been taken over by presents.
"Oh no you don't," Ashton intercepted you mid-stride and picked you up. You were so set on getting to the presents that you kept on moving your feet for a few seconds as it all sunk in.
"Well she definitely has her priorities in order," Calum chucked from the kitchen table. You stuck your tongue out at him, a gesture that he quickly returned. Ashton shook his head and held you over his head.
"Catch Calum!" He tossed you gently to the unprepared brunet.
"F- Ashton! A little warning would be appreciated!" He shrieked, barely catching you before you crashed into the table.
"Who's ready for some breakfast?" Michael came out of the kitchen, oblivious to your near-death experience. His hair was pulled back in a stretchy headband and he had on a ruffly apron that read, 'kiss the cook', to top off the look his hands were covered in two oven mitts.
"I don't think I'll ever eat again," you grumbled into Calum's shoulder. Your stomach was still churning from your unexpected air time.
"Poor baby," Calum said mockingly. But he did rub your back, and that felt nice.
"What did I miss?" Michael put his hands on his waist and glared at Ashton who was clearly avoiding eye contact.
"I, er, threw Y/N through the air at Calum," he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. Michael didn't look happy, in fact he tore off his mitts and threw them at the curly haired boy.
"I have a question," you sat up on Calum's lap, "where's Luke?"
He feigned offense, "are we not good enough for you all of a sudden? Why do you need him?"
"Harsh Browns," you winced, "I was just curious."
"I think he was still putting together his special pres-," Ashton was cut off by Michael, who had marched over, picked up the oven mitts, and threw them at him again.
"Speaking of hash browns, I made some," he paused, "for the breakfast nobody seems interested in."
Calum pinched your side, a signal for you to butter Michael up. "Oh, you're right Michael I'm sorry. You went through all this work to make a special birthday breakfast and I didn't acknowledge it. Will you forgive me?" You knew you were laying it on thick, but Michael tended to react better when it was done that way.
"I guess," he sighed playfully, "I mean I had to drive ALL the way to McDonalds and ALL the way back." You were confused as to why picking up a fast food breakfast required an apron, but you didn't want to irritate the boy even more, so you nodded along. Michael disappeared into the kitchen and came back with McDonalds bags, passing each of you one. You dug through the food, settling on eating your hash brown first, all the talking had made you hungry.
