"Try not, to get in trouble as much as last year, Dinah," Camila warned her best friend as they walked through the hallway.
Dinah nonchalantly shrugged and laughed, "Hey. Me getting detention earned us a lot of respect from other students. We didn't get picked on as much as the others, remember?"
Camila eyed the new freshmen, "Yeah. But still. We're probably being watched all the time now by teachers."
Dinah shrugged again, "So? Let them watch. Hopefully they'll see the pranks before it hits them."
Camila simply shook her head, lightly laughing.
"Oh, look, your girlfriend is heading our way," Dinah said, causing Camila to grin and look up.
Lauren walked over to Camila, engulfing her into a hug. Camila wrapped her arms around Lauren's waist, not caring if anyone sees.
"I've missed you," Camila mumbled, pulling away from the hug. "Summer was boring without you."
Lauren shrugged and smiled, "Yeah. But I'm here now. Hey Dinah."
"Hi Lauren, bye Lauren and Camila, I'm not third-wheeling," Dinah walked away, causing the two girls to laugh.
Lauren stared down at Camila, still smiling. Camila locked eyes with her, blushing as Lauren looked at her now.
"You gonna keep staring, or are you gonna kiss me?" Camila questioned.
Lauren quirked an eyebrow, "Well, since you so politely asked," Lauren leaned in, pressing a kiss to Camila's lips.

Camila stared at the only photo left of her and Lauren.

She slightly smiled, eyes scanning over Lauren's face. She couldn't tell if Lauren looked happy or not. She was smiling, but her eyes said otherwise.
Camila used to easily read Lauren, then something happened. Something snapped in Lauren, turned her emotions off like a light switch.
Camila shook her head, Lauren isn't her problem anymore. Lauren made that pretty clear to Camila.
Camila locked her phone.

I walked into English class and took a seat in the same place from yesterday. I was somewhat hoping that Camila would sit beside me again. And luckily for me, she did.
