Dinah swallowed as she stared at the letter. She had been rejected, while her girlfriend Normani has been accepted. She had no idea what she was gonna do now. Her family didn't have a whole lot of money, so she couldn't buy her way into college.

But there is one thing she could do.

"Graduation is in a week," Ally brought up. "Anyone nervous?"

The six girls sat in Normani's house in the living room. Camila and Y/N were cuddling in the love seat chair, while Normani and Dinah were in the other, and Ally and Lauren sat on the couch.

"I am," Normani answered first. "For college, I mean. After this week, we'll be going into the real world."

"We'll stay in touch, right?" Camila hesitantly asked. "All of us? I heard that friendships usually end after high school."

"Yeah," Ally nodded. "We can text and call each other."

"Wow," Y/N lightly laughed. "Four months went by quickly. It felt like only yesterday I moved here."

Camila softly hummed, resting her head on Y/N's shoulder. Reese had agreed to move to California, though we was still upset about the whole thing.

"I have an announcement," Dinah suddenly said, speaking for the first time. "Mani - I uh, I didn't get into the college we wanted to go to."

"What?"

"They rejected me," Dinah softly explained. "Instead, I - I joined the Navy."

Normani stood up, eyes wide, "What!?"

"I leave for boot camp right after graduation," Dinah continued, standing up. "I'm sorry - I should've told you."

Normani had tears in her eyes, and Dinah swallowed.

"I - we - I need to go," Normani murmured, walking out of her own house. Dinah glanced at Camila, who's eyes were wide. Dinah ran out of the house, following Normani.

"Well then," Lauren cleared her throat. "What about you, Als?"

Ally smiled, "I got into this school in Tampa," she looked at Y/N. "What're you gonna do, Y/N?"

She shrugged, "Go to college, major in something, then graduate."

Camila silently giggled next to Y/N, causing the older girl to smile.

It was the night before graduation day, and of course, someone had to throw a party for the graduating seniors. I had let Reese come, but told her no alcohol. She agreed.

"You know," I started off. "If you had told me eight years ago that I would be graduating high school, I would've said bullshit."

Camila sat next to me on the roof, "Yeah. But you did it. We did it."

"It's amazing," I muttered. "Reese and I - we've came so far. I'm graduating and going to college with the most beautiful girl in the world."

Camila blushed, but smiled and rested her head on my shoulder. I interlaced our fingers, looking out at the view. We were at someone's lake house. In front of the house was the lake, of course, where people were skinny dipping. There were two fires, one in the front and one in the back.

"Camila," I said, causing her to look at me. "I love you."

Camila smiled, pressing her lips to mine, "And I love you."

Reese wondered around the house, hands in her back pocket. She saw some other freshmen,  but not much. Reese spotted Lauren in the kitchen, leaning against the counter with a beer in her hand.

Reese hesitantly approached Lauren, "Hey."

Lauren looked at Reese and smiled, "Hey. Does Y/N know you're here?"

"Yeah," Reese laughed. "So uh, you got into Duke, huh?"

Lauren raised her beer to that, "Yes. I did."

"Congratulations," Reese glanced down. "I'm gonna miss you, Lo."

Lauren sighed, putting the beer down, "Four years, right?"

"Right," Reese murmured, but frowned. "But Lauren. I don't wanna keep you from living your life. It's college, you're suppose to have fun. And I feel like if we do do this four years waiting thing, I'm only gonna hold you back. So , if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Don't force it to happen, okay?"

Lauren smiled, staring at Reese, "You're really smart, you know that?"

"I've been told," Reese laughed. "But please, don't hold back."

Lauren nodded, "Okay. I won't, I promise. But if it's meant to be, then it's meant to be."

"Exactly," Reese smiled.

Dinah sat on the dock, her shoes off and feet in the water. She sighed, staring down at the water. She saw someone walking up to her through the reflection of the water, and recognized the person as Normani. Normani sat down next to Dinah, taking her shoes off as well.

"Navy, huh?" Normani inquired, voice small.

"Yeah," Dinah sighed out. "I'm sorry. I should've - "

"Dinah, baby, it's fine," Normani grabbed her hand. "It's just gonna be tough to work things out. It's gonna be long distance."

"I'll make sure to send postcards," Dinah joked, causing Normani to laugh.

"So you leave tomorrow, right away?" Normani asked.

Dinah nodded, "Yeah. I graduate, change, then go to the airport. My parents already have the things I need."

"I - " Normani inhaled sharply. "Where is boot camp at?"

"Chicago," Dinah answered.

"Okay," Normani nodded. "I'm going to the airport with you."

Dinah smiled, "I'm gonna miss you. I'll write letters everyday - if I can."

"I'll hold you to that," Normani rested her forehead against Dinah's. "I love you."

Dinah exhaled, "I love you too. So much."
