It was Friday night, and that happened to mean that it was the last basketball game of the season. Ally had wanted all of us to go and watch her new boyfriend, Troy, play. Now, the six of us sat at the bleachers, waiting for the game to stop.
"I never got basketball," I announced. "I didn't watch most sports growing up as a kid."
"Lucky," Camila mumbled from next to me. "My Dad would force me."
I lightly laughed, grabbing her hand and interlacing our fingers, causing her to smile. I looked out onto the court, seeing the two separate teams shooting the ball and passing it.
"Which one is Troy, Als?" Normani asked. I was sitting on the end, Camila to my left, then Ally, Lauren, Normani, and Dinah.
"Uh, number fifteen," she pointed to a tall boy.
"He's cute," Lauren commented. "But I'm still gay."
I lightly laughed, as did the others. Camila rested her head on my shoulder, causing me to smile. The game soon started, and I watched as the players ran up and down the court, passing the ball and shooting it. We were up, 71-70, witch only two minutes later. Whoever won this game, went to the championship to play against another team in Miami. The other team scored, causing me to lightly groaned. 71-72. My eyes went to the clock, with only sixty seconds left.
"Go Troy!" Ally screamed as he got the ball. Troy lined up at the three pointer line, bent his knees, and shot the ball. The ball went through the net, just as the buzzer went off. "Yes!"
We all stood up, clapping and cheering. The team surrounded Troy, congratulating him.
"There's a party tonight," Ally informed us. "At Troy's beach house. I'm gonna drive with him, I'll meet y'all there?"
"Yeah," I nodded. "Let me just text Reese." I pulled out my phone, then quickly typed a message to her,
Me: going to a party tonight. ill be home a little late.
Reese: okay. be safe.
Me: I will, I love you. call if you need anything
Reese: I love you too, and okay.
"I'm actually gonna head home," Lauren announced. "I'm not feeling well. I'll see you guys later?"
We all said goodbye to Lauren, and told her to feel better.
I put my phone back in my back pocket, taking my car keys out. We now all stood in the parking lot, walking towards my car. Camila got into the passenger seat, Mani and Dinah got into the back. I started the car,
"Who knows where Troy's beach house is?" I asked.
"Just follow all the other cars," Camila told me.
"Oh, yeah," I laughed. "There's always that."
I pulled out of the parking lot, and began to follow all of the other cars.

Once the group of girls got to the beach house, they all split up, Normani with Dinah, and Camila with Y/N. Ally was already talking to Troy.
The beach house was huge, no doubt. There was a wooden path that led to the beach, where a small fire was lit. It was lit by Y/N and Camila, the only two sitting down there. They could hear the music playing, but they were also playing their own music. It was mellow acoustic music, instead of the up-beat music. The waves crashed, adding to the back round as they sat on the sand.
"I wish parties still played slow music," Camila sighed out. "I like slow dances."
Y/N shook her head with a light laugh, "I can't dance -- at all."
Camila smiled, her knees pushed up to her chest as she turned her head to look at Y/N, "Really?"
Y/N nodded, "Really. I suck at it."
Camila devilishly grinned, standing up and wiping her pants off, then held out her hand. Y/N looked up at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm not gonna dance," Y/N laughed.
"Yes, you are," Camila smiled. "For me. Now get up."
Y/N looked at Camila, then sighed, a smile still on her face as she got up. She wiped her pants off, then looked at Camila.
"Now," Camila softly instructed. "I'm gonna but my arms around your neck," Camila did that. "And you're gonna put your hands on my waist."
Y/N did as Camila said, the two of them just standing there now.
"Now, move your feet to the beat of the music," Camila told Y/N, who softly groaned, but did it anyway. Y/N glanced down at their feet, causing them to mess up. "No - don't look at your feet, just keep your eyes on me, okay?"
Y/N nodded, retreating her eyes back to Camila's. The two swayed to the music, giggling and laughing as the party went on inside.

Lauren was walking home. She didn't mind, she liked night time, even though it could be dangerous. Her neighborhood was safe, and she had just entered her street.
Reese sat on the porch, looking up at the night sky. The stars were shining down, and so was the moon. When Reese heard someone walking, she quickly turned her head to see Lauren.
"Hey Lauren,"
Lauren's head snapped up, startled, but calmed down when she saw Reese. Lauren smiled a bit, then walked over and sat down next to Reese.
"Hey Reese," Lauren greeted back. "Beautiful night, isn't it?"
Reese nodded, "Yeah, it is," she paused for a moment. "I want to apologize. For pulling a gun out on you and all."
Lauren laughed, "It's alright. I understand, you were scared."
Lauren looked away from the sky, now looking at Reese. Lauren noticed the similarities between her and Y/N. The same hair color and skin tone, and maybe even the same ears. Y/N had a stronger jawline, though. And Reese had different eye color, better than Y/N's, if you ask Lauren.
Reese ran a hand through her hair, turning to look at Lauren, to see her already looking at her. Reese smiled, locking eyes with the older girl.
"What's wrong, Reese?" Lauren softly asked, noticing how the smile didn't reach her eyes.
Reese shrugged, "I really, really, hate boys. I got played again."
Lauren frowned, "Screw boys. Go with girls. Much hotter, if you ask me."
Reese laughed, showing off her teeth. Lauren swallowed, but smiled. It went quiet, just Lauren and Reese staring at each other.
"I've never been with a girl, though," Reese quietly admitted.
"There's a first time for everything," Lauren blurted out before she could think.
And before Lauren knew it, Reese was kissing Lauren, and Lauren was kissing back.
