If it's something I have learned in the past five years, it's to not think twice. Don't think, just do. I may sound like one of those cliché motivational speakers, but I don't care. The first initial thought that comes to your mind is most likely your gut feeling. So don't think, just do, because your gut is usually right.

I was walking the streets of Miami, alone. It was about one in the afternoon. I looked through the window of stores, stopping at one when I saw a familiar person.

I walked inside, quietly leaning against the wall.

"Left, right, left, down," she instructed, nodding when the younger girls did it. "Good job. Keep it up. Left, right, left, down. One more time -- alright, class dismissed."

I clapped my hands as the music stopped. She whipped around, a smile spreading over her face.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Y/N Smith,"

"Normani Kordei -- a dance teacher," I chuckled, walking up to her. "How've you been, Mani?"

"I'm great," she gave me a hug. "Just moved here about a week ago. Today was my first class."

I nodded, putting my hands in my pockets, "I just got back yesterday. I saw Ally."

"Really? What does she do now?" Normani asked, walking over to a bench and getting a bottle of water.

"Detective, believe it or not," I chuckled. "Have you spoken to Dinah?"

Normani glanced down, "No. I haven't. Not since she left," she paused. "Guessing you haven't either. How are you and Camila?"

I bit my lip, "I'm fine. Camila? I don't know about her."

"What?" she quietly gasped. "You two broke up?" she sat down on the bench.

I nodded, "Yeah. I don't know what she's up to now a days."

"Oh," she muttered. "I'm sorry. But I read your book. Pretty good."

"Thanks," I ran a hand through my hair. "Are you seeing anyone?"

"Nah," she shook her head. "I've been busy. Last time I went on a date was my second year of college. Getting laid, on the other hand, that was about a week ago. How's Reese?"

I chuckled, "Reese is fine. She's in college at Miami U."

"No shit? Really? What is she majoring in?" Normani asked.

"Honestly? I forgot," I laughed. "But hey, you're probably tired and all. So here's my new number."

"Yeah, thanks," she smiled as I found a pen and a piece of paper. "I'll text you."

"Alright," I began to walk out. "Peace out, Mani."

"You know, for one of the best doctor's in town, I thought you'd have a much nicer place."

Lauren looked up, locking eyes Y/N. Y/N leaned against Lauren's front door, fingers in the belt loop of her pants.

"My my, look what the cat dragged in," Lauren chuckled, walking toward Y/N. "How'd you find me?"

"The power of the Internet," Y/N said. "Just had to search Lauren Jauregui and bam. Surprised it stated your address, you should get that fixed."

Lauren softly laughed, unlocking her door and letting Y/N in.

"Where's your girlfriend at?" Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You mean our ex-girlfriend? I don't know," Y/N shrugged. "Anyway, that's not what I came to tell you. Miami U, dorm 403."

"What's there?" Lauren asked, going through her mail.

"The girl that's been waiting for you for five years," Y/N said. "See you later, Lauren."

Y/N walked out, shutting the door. Lauren looked up as she heard the door close.

Reese.

"Get the door, asshat."

"You're lazy and rude," Quinn muttered, getting up. Quinn was Reese's roommate and best friend. "- And you're hot."

Lauren stood on the other side of the door, staring at the unfamiliar girl in front of her.

Lauren awkwardly chuckled, "Is Reese here? I'm Lauren. I don't know if - "

"Oh my god! You're the Lauren she always talks about! I thought you weren't real!" Quinn squealed. "Reese! Come here!"

"Why?" Reese groaned. "I don't feel like it." None the less, Reese got up and went to the door. "Lauren."

Lauren smiled, scanning Reese's body and seeing how much she has grown and matured.

"God, you're so beautiful," Lauren whispered, meeting Reese's eyes. Quinn backed away, giving the two some privacy.

"Oh my gosh," Reese wrapped her arms around Lauren. "How'd you know I was here?"

"Y/N told me," Lauren murmured, hugging Reese back. "Five years. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," Reese pulled away, then pressed her lips to Lauren's, who kissed back.

Normani exited her apartment, locking it with her key. When she was done, she walked to the elevator, as she did so, she put the key in her purse. She then got off the elevator and exited her apartment complex. She then began to walk down the street.

The sun was setting, leaving the sky in a beautiful pink and orange color. The leaves in trees were turning different colors, fall quickly approaching.

She stopped to cross the street, waiting for the sign to give her the okay to walk across it. As she waited, she looked around. Her eyes landed in the window of a local restaurant. And as she scanned the place, she saw the familiar face she missed so much, dressed in her Navy uniform with her hair short.

She walked over there, going inside. Dinah looked up, her smile slowly fading as she saw Normani.

Normani wanted to walk over there, and she started to, her heart beating. But then she stopped when someone - a tall girl, pecked Dinah on the lips and sat down.

Normani swallowed, and Dinah looked away from her.

Normani walked out of the restaurant.
