"When's the wedding?" I asked, sitting down across from Dinah.
"Well," Dinah leaned forward. "It was supposed to be last month, but something came up with Zendaya's family. So this month."
"Really?" I raised an eyebrow. "Where are the invitations, Dinah-Jane?"
Dinah softly laughed, "Zendaya is handling that. Her best friend is flying in today to help plan the wedding. She's the maid of honor."
"Okay," I nodded. "What about Normani? Is she coming?"
Dinah glanced down at the table, "Yeah," she stopped talking. "Camila told me what happened between you two."
"Figured," I murmured, glancing out the window. "When did she tell you?"
"A day after you proposed," Dinah informed me.
"And she lied to me," I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "She said she hadn't been talking to you."
"Don't be mad at her," Dinah rushed out. "I told her not to tell. And before you ask why -- I figured that you all had your lives going on, and so did I."
I shook my head, softly sighing, "After Camila said no, my life was put on a hold. Just all about college, which was easy."
"What about your second book?" Dinah asked.
"What about it? You want a preview? You'll just be looking at a blank piece of paper," I retorted, scowling.
Dinah frowned, "When you wrote your first book, Y/N, Camila was there. And when she wasn't, you stopped writing," she started. "Well, she's back now."
"So?"
"So, base your writing off the pain you feel," Dinah said like it was the easiest thing in the world. "I know you, Y/N. And I also know that you write the things you can't say on paper. So, do that."
I bit my lip and ran a hand through my hair.

After picking Ethan up, Vero had strapped him into his car seat. As she did so, Ethan look at his mother.
"Ma, can we go see Y/N/N?" Ethan asked, causing Vero to look at Ethan.
She smiled a bit, "Sure bud. How about we surprise her?"
Ethan grinned and nodded.

"I just realized, out of all of our friends, none of them are guys," Reese blurted out after swallowing a fry.
Lauren laughed, "That's true. But what made you think of that?" The two were at a restaurant on Lauren's lunch break. Reese had a class after lunch, anyway.
"I don't know, actually," Reese giggled. "Just an observation, I guess."
"Actually," Lauren started. "When I was in college, I had some guy friends."
"Oh," Reese quietly said. "What about uh, girlfriends?"
Lauren chuckled, "Yeah. But none of them compared to you."
Reese smiled at the reassurance.

I sat at my desk, my laptop open with a blank screen. I stared at the cursor, then the keyboard. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, just as there was a knock at my door.
"It's open!" I shouted, not really feeling like getting up. The door opened, and I looked to see Vero and Ethan. "Hey!"
I got up as Ethan ran over to me, slightly laughing as I crouched down and gave him a hug. I picked him, walking over to Vero.
"Hey," she greeted me, then glancing at the laptop. "Are you writing again?"
"I'm trying," I answered, giving her a small smile. "I got nothing so far."
"Eh, something will come up," Vero reassured me. "Trust me."
"Yeah," I smiled a bit. "Wanna go out to lunch? It's on me."
"Yeah!" Ethan exclaimed, causing Vero and I to chuckle.

"Ally, when's the last time you've been on a date? High school?" Camila inquired as the two walked down the street.
Ally thought about it for a moment, "Yeah. Doesn't mean I don't get laid though," the two girls laughed. "But I don't really have time for dates, being a detective and all."
Camila nodded, understanding as they walked into the small pizza shop. They got to choose their own seats, so Camila chose a seat by the window.
"Yeah? Any interesting cases going on?" Camila asked, looking at Ally.
"There's a murder," Ally revealed with a shrug. "But that's all I can say."
"Aw," Camila pouted. "I wanna know more."
Ally giggled and shook her head. As she did so, her eyes landed on Vero and Ethan.
"Oh, looks, there's Vero," Ally said aloud, causing Vero to turn around.
"Hey Ally!" Ethan got up and ran over to her. "Whose that?"
"That is Camila," Ally said, lifting Ethan up and onto her lap. "She's an old friend of mine."
"Like Y/N?" Ally nodded. "You're pretty."
Camila laughed a bit, "Thank you, handsome." Ethan blushed and hid his face in Ally's shirt.
Vero smiled and walked over, "Hey Ally. Hi Camila."
"Hi," Camila quietly said, looking away and out of the window.
"Hey! Where'd everyone go?" Y/N questioned, but then saw Vero standing up over by Ally and Camila. "Oh."
Y/N hesitantly walked over, now standing next to Vero with her hands in her pocket. Ethan looked at Y/N and smiled widely.
"Y/N! Look, that's Camila. She's pretty, isn't she?" Ethan asked.
Y/N nodded, "Yeah. She is," Camila looked at Y/N, while Vero looked down. "But you know who else is pretty?"
"Who?" Ethan asked, excitement laced in his voice as he readjusted himself on Ally's lap.
"Your mom," Y/N grinned. "She's very pretty. And you know what? You have her pretty eyes and killer smile!"
Vero couldn't help the smile that spread over her face, heat rushing to her cheeks. Ally glanced between Vero, Y/N, then Camila.
Ethan smiled, "Yeah!"
Y/N glanced behind her, seeing the pizza at their table, "We gotta go eat buddy. Nice seeing you Ally, Camila."

Marriage is based off of not only love, but trust and honesty. I wonder if Camila didn't trust me, or she think I wasn't honest with her, or if she simply didn't love me anymore.
I told her I loved her everyday, I was always honest and truthful with her. I told her what was on my mind, but what was I doing wrong?
I had no idea, and to this day, I still don't.
