"Maya, wait!" Riley grabs my arm, not letting me go. It was sixth year now and we were on the ride to Hogwarts once again. I was about to walk past the compartment and sit with Zay again, but Riley stopped me.

"What do you want?" I say, not looking her in the eye.

"Maya, why have you been avoiding me for the past two years?" Riley asks me sadly. "I miss you."

I stare at my shoe, not looking up. I did this, I made Riley's smile disappear. All because I was jealous. Riley has supported me though everything and I left her. Promising myself that I would never do this again, I look up to meet her warm chocolate brown eyes. She had grown quite a few inches and now seemed to tower over me. I was still short as ever.

I'm blown away by her beauty. I hadn't actually looked at her closely since fourth year, when Riley and Lucas first started dating.

"I'm sorry." I finally say. Riley gives me a small smile and gathers me in a hug, knowing her best friend was back.

We enter the compartment together once again. Farkle smiles at me while Lucas has an unreadable expression on his face upon seeing me.

"Nice of you to finally join us." Farkle comments, kicking back in his seat. I roll my eyes at him. "Yeah, yeah."

I sit down and am surprised when Riley sits next to me and not Lucas for once. Lucas seems to be just as shocked as I was while Farkle's smile triples in size.

"What?" Riley asks, having no clue why the three of us were looking at her like she grew another head.

"Nothing." I say, enjoying the moment. "So Farkle, let me guess. You got Outstandings on all of your OWLs?"

"Duh." He says. "Do you even know me?" He asks, producing laughs from the three of us.

"What about you Maya? How did you do?" Riley asks, leaning on my shoulder. I blush at the contact. Lucas frowns at us, the little display not going unnoticed by him.

"Other than Divination where I got a Dreadful, I passed all my other classes." I say proudly. All my hard work from fifth year actually paid off. Riley smiles. "Nice job Maya."

Lucas's frown grows deeper.

Sixth year may have been the best year ever. Riley and Lucas broke up, making a permanent smile appear on my face.

"I haven't seen you this happy, well, ever." Zay commented one day at breakfast.

"Whatever." I say while shoving a bunch of waffles in my mouth. I glance at Riley, who was back at the Hufflepuff table. She was talking to some of her friends, laughing at something one of them said. I couldn't help but smile at that, her happiness was infectious.

"You need to tell her you love her already." Zay says. "Otherwise, someone else might get there first."

"Oh, I'm sorry, since when were you a love guru?" I retort.

Zay puts his hands up in defense. "I'm just saying."

Linebreak

Sixth year was gone in a flash and next thing I know, it was my final year at Hogwarts. I walk on the Hogwarts Express once again, knowing that this was my second to last time on the train. I smile, remembering my first year on the train to Hogwarts. Was it fate that I had chosen that compartment with Riley and Farkle?

I walk into our compartment, where Riley, Farkle, and Lucas were already sitting. "Hey guys." I greet them, sitting down next to Riley. She seemed to flush at our closeness. Huh, what's that all about?
