34) Time

"Girls, Mum, TJ, what do you think?" I asked, stepping out of my closet. I was wearing blue jeans, a tight black floral top, and a black knit beret hat that I tipped towards the back. Of course, I wore my black ankle converse.

"Cute and simple." My mum winked through the computer screen that was shared with Ariana. I skyped both of them for advice. And plus, Ariana wanted to help.

 "My baby is going on her first date." My mum gushed. I felt my cheeks burn a bit. But of course, she was telling the truth.

"I haven't seen you so happy, Dani." Ariana gleamed. I laughed.

"Thank you so much, Ariana. I owe you big time."

"No you don't. You helped me so much, already."

"Thank you, again."

"Do you think Nathan will like it?" I asked. I never have been more concerned about how I look in years. Probably my whole life.

"Of course he will." Kelsey smiled. I sighed.

Soon enough, there was a knock on the door. "Wish me luck, guys."

"Good luck!" Everyone called.

I opened the door to see Nathan standing. I smiled at him.

"Hi, Sykes."

"Hey, Dani. You ready to go?" He smiled. He was wearing a maroon v-neck with dark blue jeans.

One thing was different though. He had the necklace.

"Y-You, Th-the. Necklace!" I barely got any words out.

"Yup. I found it hidden in my wallet." He laughed.

I laughed along with him as I tackled him into a hug.

"Oh my god, you don't know how happy that makes me!" I said into his shoulder.

"Awww, glad that you're happy, Dan." He pulled back and smiled.

"So should we go?" He asked looking at the people behind me.

"Yup!"

"Later guys. Bye Mum!" He waved at the camera to my Mum.

She smiled and waved back.

"Take care of her, Sykes." Ariana winked. He chuckled and nodded.

We patted my lower back as we walked down the stairs and out the door.

"How are you doing today, love?" He asked, opening the door for me. I smiled and took a seat.

He circled the car to get to the driver's side as he took his seat. "I am really happy. You?"

"I am too. I need some quality time with my best friend, eh?" He asked, giving me a wink. I smiled and nodded. Best friends. Yup. I don't want anything to ruin that. Though, it would be nice to be with Nathan..

"So where are we headed?" I asked, raising an eye brow.

"I was thinking anywhere you wanted to go." he returned the raised eye brow.

"Sure! How about a walk around the mall and lunch?"

"Sounds good." He winked as he turned back to the road.

I turned the radio on. "Do you mind?" I asked.

He nodded no, with a weird expression, making me laugh.

Nathan sang along to all of the songs. I loved hearing his voice. But the weirdest was hearing him sing along to Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke. I was just laughing at him the whole time.
