Chapter 27: A Legendary Friendship

"I can't believe we lost Ash" Gary said pacing around the cave. He felt like ripping his hair out of his head. Shock filled the group. Serena sat silently looking towards a wall. Kaylin was on her lap looking down. "I know this is tough Serena but we have to let him go, he was really reckless, god knows what he would have done in the future with you" Achille said. "Why are you being mean to him, he saved me and that other boy. Yes he is reckless but he was the love of my life and now he's gone" Serena started tearing up. The girls came over to console her. They were doing a pretty good job. Greninja sat near Alain. They both sat down having the same expression. They were in a trance.

Trance

"You'll pay for this!" Ash bellowed out. He let out a red aura sphere which hit Palkia straight in the face. Palkia roared in rage and charged towards Ash. Ash jumped last second and Palkia crashed into the side of the mountain. Unexpectedly Ash was sent flying by a surprise Spacial rend by Palkia.

They both looked worn out and tired. Both struggled to keep on their feet. This time they both charged at each other with aura spheres ready for release. They collided and were sent back flying once again. Ash had the better reflexes and stood up after the collision. He saw Palkia's weakness and sent a red hyper beam to Palkia. Palkia engulfed it and bellowed out in pain. A rock slide took place and hit the duo.

There was no movement for five minutes. Dead silence. Palkia then broke through the rocks and fled from the scene. Forcing it self to fly away. Ash then broke out through the rocks but Palkia was out of range for any attacks. He felt his knees buckle and fell to the floor. He was lying down with his back to the floor. Blood streaming out of his head. Blood erupting from his wound that had been made by Palkia.

Ash lay there. His breathing became more and more intense as the minutes passed on. He could feel a presence near. He was to tired to fight. His strengths had all been used up. Nothing was left in him. He could feel the presence touch the ground. It was a soft touchdown but he could feel the power that was exerting out of it.

"Let me have a break bro, your a legendary and I'm just a boy. This fight is already unfair" Ash spoke out. There was no response. In fact he felt himself levitate in an upright position. He closed his eyes expecting an attack. None came. "Open your eyes, Ash" the figure spoke. Ash opened his eyes and saw it was Arceus. "Arceus, your alive and fine?" Ash said confused. "I escaped and I'm on low reserve power mode" Arceus said. "What?" Ash said. "I'm using my back up power that will be limited so that's why I look, well normal" Arceus said.

"Oh okay, so how do I get up to the top of the mountain" Ash said looking up. "That is why I am here" Arceus said. "Oh then, let's go" Ash said. He hopped on to Arceus back and started flying in the air.

End of Trance

"Ash is alive" Greninja and Alain shouted. Everyone stared at them like they were some hooligans. "What joke is this?" Brock said. "Greninja, I expected better of you" Tierno said. "Hey He isn't lying, I had the same vision as he did" Alain said. "Stop lying we all saw how far that fall was. No one can survive that" Drew said. "Please trust us, we know what we saw" Greninja said. Pikachu's ears shot up as if something was getting near.

"What evidence is there?" Achille said. "No wait, I believe you guys" Serena said. "You what!?" Everyone shouted. "Well Greninja is connected to Ash, look he is still in Ash-Greninja form so he would have felt Ash's death" Serena said. "Have you felt any kind of death?" Gary blurted out. "No master Gary. I know Ash is alive. He has to be" Greninja said. "I believe him as well" Paul said. Everyone looked bemused at what was going.

"But how did he get the vision?" Shauna said pointing at Alain. "Who are you" Serena asked. "Alain and.." "He is my brother" Everyone looked at the voice that spoke. They recognised it and looked towards the entrance . Ash stood there. It was Serena's turn to rugby tackle Ash. I mean literally. Both of them were on the floor. Serena had her face buried in his chest. "You are so stupid! Why would you jump onto Palkia like that" Serena said sobbing her eyes out till they were dry. "I couldn't let him hurt Alain" Ash said. Everyone turned to Alain.
