Chapter 34: A Scare To Remember!

'Hey I can hear voices in that cave' Gary pointed to the cave up ahead. Serena and Ash listened closely and heard silent murmurs coming from the cave. They ran towards it and found the rest of the gang talking with each other.

'So we have to go through the cave in order to reach snow point?' May said getting a shiver down her back. 'Yes, I'm afraid so' Dawn said. The group looked at the darkness that engulfed the rest of the cave. Eerie senses were exerting through the darkness. Everyone shuddered at the the thought of going through.

'Oh jeez, well let's find Ash and the others first' Calem said as he got up. 'We are already here' Gary said walking into the cave. Misty looked up and ran at Gary. She gave him a tight hug. 'Thank god you didn't wreck yourself' Misty said sighing with relief. 'Okay...' Gary said blushing a tint of pink.

'Ash!' Miette said and was about to hug him but saw Serena holding his hand and Kaylin on his back. 'Glad you're alright' She said. Serena eyed her and Miette was forced to sit down. 'Yeah, sit down bitch!' Serena said in her mind and rested her head on Ash's shoulder. 'Well glad to know you guys are alright, anyway we know where to go' Tierno said. Ash nodded, 'yeah I heard' he said. 'Great we'll set off after dinner then' Clemont said. Him and Brock started preparing food. Ash decided to pass and sat at the exit of the cave overlooking the forest.

'I don't feel right in this cave, isn't it Pikachu?' Ash said looking at his partner. Pikachu nodded nervously looking at it's trainer. 'Ash?' Ash heard a voice. It was Miette. Ash didn't respond and kept gazing at the forest with the uneasy feeling increasing. 'I'm glad your safe' Miette said sitting next to him. She rested her head on his shoulder but Ash shrugged her off, 'woah I have a girlfriend' Ash said moving a little away from her slightly.

'Oh Serena, she is nothing compared to me' Miette said and jumped into Ash's lap. Ash couldn't push her off. 'Miette what is wrong with you?' Ash said getting angry. 'That dream you had about my father was all a set up. He doesn't want me dead. It's part of my plan' Miette said and started kissing Ash's cheek. Ash had enough and pushed her off. Miette was off of Ash.

'I hope no one saw this' Ash said hopefully and turned around and saw Serena and Gary standing there with an angry face. 'Ash how could you' Serena said and ran back to the group crying. 'No wait Serena' Gary said running after her. 'Your going to pay' Ash said angrily. Miette just shrugged and disappeared. Ash screamed in anger and frustration. He punched the ground and his fist started to bleed. 'Pika pi?' Pikachu said worriedly. 'I can't believe I fell for their trick' Ash said and punched the ground even harder.

Greninja came out his PokéBall sensing injury of his trainer. 'Master, are you alright?' Greninja asked. 'I'm fine' Ash snapped but calmed down a little later. He got up and walked to the group. He saw Serena in Brock's arms crying. Everyone turned to him angrily.

'Serena you misunderstood, she..' Ash started, 'I know what I saw Ash' Serena snapped at Ash. Ash was taken aback by her anger. 'I think we should start going' Dawn said. They slowly packed their stuff away and headed into the cave.

'Look Serena, I wasn't trying to make out' Ash said trying desperately. 'I don't want to talk to you' Serena snapped again. 'Yeah Ash leave her alone, she was happier without you' Misty said angrily. The words echoed in Ash's head. He felt like an arrow pierced through his heart. 'Guys hear him out at least' Gary said knowing what happened. 'Shut up Gary, he cheated on Serena' Tierno said. Gary stopped talking and looked at Ash who had ab angry face. 'Don't tell Gary to shut up!' Ash snapped at Tierno. 'Maybe if you didn't do those horrible things, things would be different' Tierno said.

Ash clenched his fists and his veins popped out, 'I don't know why I came here, I should have done this alone' Ash said angrily before disappearing himself. The words echoed in Serena's head. Her sadness increased every step they took.
