Lilianna (NEW VERSION)

Chapter 5

"Wake up, bitch."

Lilianna grunted as the man kicked her in the stomach, causing the already intense pain, to become worse. He then yanked her to her feet by her hair, grinning when she whimpered a bit. For two days she went through this, she would grow weaker with each passing hour. Seth never came down to see, she had no idea why she hoped he would. She was disgusted with herself, thinking that Seth would come and take her away from the guards. He was the one who threw her in the dungeons in the first place.

Once again, she was thrown into the room and tied to the chair. Once again, she was beaten and shown things that were from her past. However, none of it helped her gain her memory, not like the diary had. She had wondered how long it would take for her to die, she felt close to death after each beating. Unfortunately, she healed quickly, making it nearly impossible for the beatings to kill her. 

Once they were done for the day, she was thrown back into the cell, but this time she was too weak to move. So, she laid there, sobbing quietly, on the cold floor.

"You disgust me." 

Seth sighed as he looked up at his fuming cousin, her blue eyes were narrowed and shining with disgust. He shrugged, not giving a damn about her opinion. He was disgusted with himself as well, but his anger only continued to fuel him. It blinded him, making him forget that Lilianna was once his best friend. That he had once loved her with all of his heart, he had even planned on claiming her as his mate. Now, he was continuing on with his life while she was being tortured in the dungeon. He knew it was wrong, terrible in fact, but he no longer cared. She killed his parents, she deserved every single second of pain. 

"Seth, come on, use your head. A ten year old wanting your parents dead? Think about that letter, was the handwriting sloppy like her's was?" she questioned, sitting on his couch.

He frowned, "I didn't compare them..."

"Use your memory then, what did the handwriting on the letter look like?" 

"It was...neat." 

"Exactly. So, explain how a ten year old, could go from writing like an actual ten year old to writing like some English professor." She urged, glaring at him now. 

He ran his hand through his hair, "I don't know!"

"Exactly! Goddess, Seth, you weren't raised to be this fucking dumb! I barely know her, but I know that girl is innocent. She loved you, why would she try to hurt you?" She growled.

He slumped down in his chair, he knew his cousin had a point, but he was too stubborn to look into it. He pursed his lips as he stared at the old diary, the longer he stared at it, the more his cousin's words were making sense. 

"I'll give you a day, if you don't get her a room and help her heal, then I'm freeing her. I will call my father and tell him we have a new packmember coming in a few days." his cousin snapped.

He glared at her, "You aren't taking Lilianna anywhere."

"Why not? You hate her, you shouldn't care." 

"Ryan..." 

"No! I am not going to sit here while an innocent girl is being tortured! How can you even live with yourself?" she spat before storming out.

He groaned and banged his head against his desk, it continued doing this until someone suddenly stopped him. 

"You cracked your head open." Darien sighed.

Seth frowned as he saw the smeared blood, he released a breath before shoving his beta away. 

"What do you want?" he seethed.

Darien frowned, "Well, Lilianna is on the brink of death every evening. So, she's healing right now, but she won't be able to take this much longer. You're the dumbest alpha." 

"Thanks for pointing out I'm stupid." Seth grumbled.

"You're a horrible person, worse than her parents. Worse than the hunters themselves. You're allowing the girl you loved, be tortured. You can't just be normal and investigate before assuming it was her. I highly doubt it was though, Lilianna was always a kind hearted girl. It's a shame she fell for you." he said before walking out.

Seth swallowed and leaned against his chair, he grabbed a cloth and wiped the blood off his forehead. He let out a frustrated scream before punching the wall.
