Lilianna (NEW VERSION)

Chapter 23

Chloe walked into her nephew's hospital room with a broken heart, he was as white as the sheets, he had a nasal cannula in, an IV was giving him medicine while another was giving him blood, and his abdomen was wrapped up. She walked over and sat down in the chair before gently grasping her nephew's hand. 

"Lilianna misses you, even though it has only been twelve hours. That girl is head over heels in love with you." she smiled. 

For the next four hours, she sat beside her nephew's bed, waiting for him to wake up. They learned the last time that he shouldn't be alone when he wakes up. He hated hospitals, they reminded him of the night he lost his parents. She sighed as she leaned back in the chair, she was going to close her eyes when Seth suddenly gasped. Her eyes snapped open to see him sitting up and looking around, panicked.

"Wh-where's Lilianna?" he rasped, looking at her.

Chloe quickly stood up and gently pushed him back down, "Shhhh, she's okay. She's sleeping in another room."

"Can I see her?" he asked.

"She'll be here when she wakes up." 

"But I want to see her, please?" he pleaded.

Chloe sighed before smiling, she ran her fingers through his hair. "You love the same way your father did."

"That a good thing?"

"Yes, he loved your mother like a king worshiping his queen."

"He didn't hurt her when he met her though."

Chloe sighed, "No, you and Lil did have a rough start, but she forgave you. She loves you, whether you know it or not. I am going to warn you though, she probably won't leave your side for days. You scared the living crap out of her." 

He smiled tiredly, "I like her beside me anyway."

"Good. Go to sleep, I can tell you're tired."

He nodded as he drifted back into the peaceful darkness.

When Lilianna woke up, she immediately climbed out of the bed and searched for Seth. Luckily, Chloe caught her before anyone else did and guided her to Seth's room. She immediately ran over and sat in the chair, Chloe watched as she grabbed Seth's hand, her thumb was rubbing small circles on it. Lilianna then rested her head on the bed, her eyes never leaving her mate. Chloe smiled before turning and walking out to go home, knowing her nephew was in safe hands.

Lilianna ended up falling asleep again, unaware of a woman watching from the corner. She wouldn't be able to see her anyway, the woman was no longer alive. She walked over to the bed and gently placed a kiss on her son's forehead.

"I love you, Seth. You were never a replacement nor a mistake. Control your inner demons, they are what keeps those negative feelings going." she whispered.

She then looked at Lilianna and smiled, "And don't ever let go of her."
