Lilianna (NEW VERSION)

Chapter 6

Seth silently walked into the dungeon, his thoughts were chaos in his mind as he thought of what to do with Lilianna. Throughout the night he thought over his cousin's words and Darien's, they both had a point. He was being foolish and taking his anger out on the wrong person, she could still be the killer, but he was now doubting that. When he reached her cell, he froze. She was laying in the middle of the cell, her skin almost as white as paper, cuts were still healing, and the bullet wound in her leg was clearly infected. He clenched his jaw and looked around, he frowned when he didn't see the guards. He shrugged it off and unlocked the cell door, he then carefully picked her up, trying not to hurt her further.

"I-I don't like b-being touched." she mumbled.

"Yeah, well, I have to touch you in order to get you to the infirmary." Seth replied.

Her eyes fluttered open as she studied him, "I-I hate you."

He swallowed and masked the pain, "I do too." 

Once she was in surgery, he decided to go and find other clues. Before he grabbed her, he had studied the letter and the diary. The handwriting was far from matching up, but he was an idiot, just like Darien had said. He refused to believe that she could be innocent because, he was upset. He has been upset for the past ten years, but like the council said, he wasn't allowed to show it. He bottled up his emotions and the second he saw Lilianna, he unleashed them all on her. He shook his head, that was no excuse though, he was a true asshole for what he did. 

"I'm no better than her parents." he thought bitterly.

He sat down in his office and went through her old documents and her parents'. He frowned when he saw 'hunter' on the description of Lilianna's step mother. 

"So...my parents knew she was a hunter." he thought. 

As he continued to read, he saw that his father was suspicious of her and kept them in the pack to watch the mother. Lilianna's father was a full werewolf, who was fully mated to Lilianna's biological mother. He furrowed his eyebrows, trying to figure out why her father was with this hunter if he was fully mated to another woman. 

"What would cause her to forget all of this?" he thought aloud. 

"Maybe the hunters did something, they tortured her for ten years."

He looked up to see his cousin walking in, a frown was on her face and a tired look was in her eyes. She released a breath as she sat down, staring at her mug of coffee.

"I talked to my father...about Lilianna." she sounded.

He froze and looked at her, "What?"

She looked up at him, "My father agreed that Lilianna could join my pack. She's not safe here, not only for the fact that you're a fucking lunatic, but the hunters live close by. They have to, considering they were chasing her when she stepped onto your territory. Darien had sent wolves out to find them, but so far, we haven't been able to find where they're living." 

"So...you're taking her?" he asked softly.

"Yes. Don't act as if you care now, you can live with that guilt and regret. However, I can't leave for another week, the pack is still on lock down." she sighed.

"Why is it on lock down anyway?"

"A virus spread through the pack. So, my father sent me here before I could catch it. It killed ten pack members already. You didn't read the letter he sent you, huh?" 

Seth looked down, "No."

"Of course." 

"Is he positive that virus will be completely wiped out after a week? Lilianna may not be able to to handle that virus." he asked.

His cousin frowned, "Yes."

It was silent again as Seth drowned in his own thoughts, Ryan frowned before sighing. "Listen, you have a week to apologize and maybe...do what you can to make up for all of this. I mean, it'll take more than a week to truly make up for it, but at least you can get a start to it."

"Would I be able to visit her?" he asked quietly.

"No. My father is shunning you..." 

He stiffened, "I understand."

Ryan frowned and placed a hand on her cousin's shoulder, "Don't let your thoughts take over. Yes, you fucked up big time, but I've seen what happens when you decide to shut people out. I don't want to see that happen again and neither does my parents." 

"Your father has always hated me, Ryan." Seth replied, frowning. "He would be glad to see me dead. However, I'm not going to do any of that again, okay?"

She frowned, but nodded anyway. Once she left, he sat down again and ran his fingers through his hair. He eventually got up, deciding to see if she was out of surgery.

He was shocked by the sudden hatred they showed him when he walked into the infirmary. He remained quiet, unsure of who he should talk to. He eventually found the doctor and decided to ask him, at first, the doctor decided to insult him before telling him. His heart fell when the doctor told him about Lilianna freaking out, yelling about the hunters. 

"She definitely has PTSD from whatever those hunters did to her, but she is handling it pretty well. One of our nurses was able to calm her down and make her realize she was in a hospital and not back with the hunters. We cleaned out the wound on her leg and her wolf is already healing it. She had a few bruised ribs, but they should be healed by tonight." the doctor explained.

Seth nodded, "So...she can be released tonight?" 

"No. Tomorrow, I want to watch that wound on her leg."

"Can I see her?"

The doctor narrowed his eyes, "With all do respect, Alpha, but you shouldn't go anywhere near her. You're the one who put her here and I highly doubt she'll want to see you. How you can live with yourself, beats me."

"I was just-

"No. Your father would have never, ever done anything like this. Your parents raised you to be better than this. I wouldn't be surprised if they hated you now, they probably would. They would of been disgusted with you and probably shunned you. It's a good thing they died before seeing what their son turned into. You're not a worthy alpha." he spat before walking away.

Seth looked down and clenched his jaw, he blinked away the tears before storming out of the infirmary. 

A/N: So, you're probably going to see Seth's downfall and Lilianna's growth.
