Seth silently watched as Lilianna and Ryan had a water gun fight, both of them laughing and smiling. They had tried getting him to join, but he didn't want to, he just wanted to sleep. His aunt and uncle had tried convincing him to go to the town with them, but once again, he had refused. He knew they were starting to worry, but he didn't think he was heading down that dark of a path. He was just upset, but deep down, he knew it was more than just being upset.

He was disappointed in himself, he was an alpha who gave up his title, he was being a coward. He didn't want to face his pack, he didn't know how, so he ran from his problems. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"Hey, what's bothering you?"

He looked up to see Steven walking onto the patio, a frown on his face. He remained quiet as his uncle sat beside him, watching his daughter try to over power Lilianna.

"I failed." Seth finally whispered.

Steven furrowed his eyebrows, "You didn't fail."

"I'm an alpha, I'm supposed to always lead my pack and be there for them." Seth replied, his voice cracking. "My dad handled it fine..."

"Your pack failed, not you. Your pack is supposed to support you as well, they're supposed to be there for you as well, but they weren't. Instead, they followed your crazed beta and started bullying you. I do understand how they felt when they heard you tortured Lilianna, considering she was a packmember ten years ago. However, what they did in return was wrong. Do they even know that you told the guards not to torture her?" Steven questioned.

Seth shrugged, "Tyler apparently showed them the video of my fight with Darien, where I told him everything and found out about rogues being tortured."

"Well, hopefully they turn their backs on Darien. When you're ready, you need to get a different beta. Darien is poison, he's toxic to your pack's strength."

Tears pooled into Seth's eyes as he took a shaky breath, "What would my dad of done?"

Steven frowned before pulling his nephew into a hug, "He would have done the same thing as you. If his mental health was getting worse, he would have taken a break from being alpha. You need time to heal, Seth. All that stress from being alpha would only break you more, none of us want that."

Seth buried his face in his uncle's shirt, "But I failed my pack."

"No, your pack failed you. You did everything you could, but they decided to be cruel and uncaring. Your father didn't lead the pack like that and neither did you, to me, it seems like your beta has been feeding them lies throughout your years as alpha." Steven said, rubbing Seth's back.

"Was I a mistake?" Seth suddenly whimpered.

Steven furrowed his eyebrows, "To your parents? No, they celebrated your birth for a whole week."

"But I'm a replacement."

"No, you are not a replacement. You were a miracle, sure, your mother lost a baby before you. But just because she had you a few years later doesn't mean you're a replacement. You're their dream come true."

Steven glanced at his daughter to see her being thrown in the pool by Lilianna, he smiled a little before focusing on Seth. He was still hugging him, refusing to let him go.

"It's okay to cry, Seth." Steven whispered. "You shouldn't bottle your emotions up, ever."

A few seconds passed before a muffled sob escaped Seth, after that, Seth let out all of his emotions. Steven continued to hold him as he watched his nephew collapse. The sobs earn Lilianna and Ryan's attention, causing the girls to climb out of the pool. Lilianna wrapped herself in a towel before sitting beside the two men. She frowned before resting her head on Seth's back and wrapping her arms around him.

"It's okay." she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to the side of his neck.

A/N: So, someone asked me why the male characters are always depressed or whatever. And have received rude comments on my past stories.

1- I'm tired of reading stories where the girl is ALWAYS depressed.

2- The back stories I give the males usually lead to depression in people. I'm just putting a reality twist to a fantasy story.

3- I found out many people love it when the strong and emotionless man cries in his woman's arms, so, why not use that in my stories?

4- Men can be just as emotional as women, use your brains people.

5- Don't worry, I will have a few stories of the female character being depressed and the male either being an asshole or trying to help her.

6- Why does it matter?

7- No, I don't like it when a male family member or a guy I care about cries. Hell, it's the scariest thing. The first time I saw my dad cry, it scared the shit out of me. My dad's a tough man and I never saw him cry. Hell, my brother doesn't even cry. (He probably cries in private, I don't blame him. I hate crying in front of people.)

8- Emotions exist in men! My goodness, do you think men are just mean or always tough? No. They cry, they get depressed, they feel hopeless, etc.

9- Let's be glad men don't have periods and can't get pregnancy mood-swings like us women. Imagine if a boyfriend and girlfriend are both pmsing...someone would probably end being murdered or locked in a closet or some shit.

10- It's my story, fuck off.

Oh and one more thing...

Go whine on someone else's story!
