2 months later

"He's only to continue to suffer, huh?" Avery whispered.

Lilianna sighed, "I don't know."

"It's up to you, Avery. If you want us to pull the plug, we will." the doctor said softly, handing the papers to the young she-wolf.

Avery thanked her, once the doctor left, she burst into tears. Lilianna sat beside her, hugging her as she watched Darien. The only improvement they had was that his wolf healed his leg, but he didn't heal anything else. The damage to his heart was, in fact, a Grade III blunt cardiac injury. Since then, he had coded twice before they started giving him medicine to control his heart beat. Every day they would sit here and hope he would wake up, but there was no change.

During the two months that Darien was like this, they had managed to find his father. His father, of course, started screaming at them and threatening to kill them, but Seth locked him in the dungeon before he could do anything. The rest of his men went on trial and were either thrown in the dungeon or killed. They had hoped Darien would be awake soon, so he could decide his father's punishment.

Lilianna had tried getting in contact with his mother, but her number was no longer being used. So, for the remainder of those few weeks, her and Avery stayed in the hospital. Praying that he would, by some miracle, wake up.

Avery sighed, "This isn't fair...for him."

Lilianna frowned, "Are you going to sign those papers?"

Tears ran down the green-eyed girl's face, "I-I don't want to, but...it would be better if I did."

"Or I can just heal him."

They both looked up to see a stunning woman leaning against the door frame, her brown eyes were studying Darien with a sad look. She walked into the room with a sigh, she gently ran her fingers through his hair, smiling sadly.

"When I was told I was pregnant with him...it was best day of my life. Even though my mate was a prick about it, I was still excited to have my own child." she whispered.

Avery paled, "You're his mom?"

The woman looked up, "And you're his mate."

Avery shrunk back a little, the woman chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm not going to be some mother-in-law from hell."

Lilianna frowned, "If you heal him..."

"I can heal any damage to his heart and any other types of damage. He's lucky he has no brain injuries, no spell can fix those type." she sighed.

"I didn't know witches could heal people." Avery murmured.

The woman smiled, "There's a lot you don't know, but, I will make sure my son teaches you. He knows quite a bit about spells, I have to teach him the protection spell so this doesn't happen again."

The woman put her hands on Darien's forehead and abdomen before closing her eyes, as she whispered a few words, a golden light started to shine where she was touching. She continued whispering the ancient words, not once did she slow her mumbling down. The golden light grew brighter until it was almost blinding them. After a minute, it suddenly vanished and she took her hands off of her son. They waited for a few seconds until he started to cough.

"Shhhh, relax, the doctor will be here in a few minutes to take that out." the woman assured him.

Darien's eyes snapped open in surprise, she smiled at him before scurrying out of the room. Avery jumped up and ran over to his side, gently, she grabbed his hand and kissed him. His eyes lit up the second he saw her, he went to speak, but she quickly quieted him.

"Breathing tube." she chuckled.

His mother ran back, dragging the doctor by her ear. "I wanted to finish my sandwich!"

His mother glared at her, "I want the breathing tube out of my son so he doesn't choke."

The doctor stared at Darien in shock before walking over and instructing him. Once she got the breathing tube out, she checked all his vitals and nodded.

"This is...a miracle." the doctor breathed.

Darien's mother smirked, "Nope, it's just magic. Being a witch has its perks, you know."

The doctor frowned before focusing on Darien, "Well, I want to keep him over night, just in case."

Avery smiled as Darien started to fall asleep again, "Go to sleep, I'll be here when you wake up. And your mother."

"Or I may be kicking my mate's ass." his mother sounded.

Lilianna watched in amusement, when Darien spotted her, he paled. She walked over and gently patted his shoulder.

"Get some rest." she grinned.

Once he was asleep again, Lilianna glanced at his mother. "So, what's your name?"

The woman looked at her, she hesitated at first. "Lilith...Lil for short."

Lil.

"If you don't do this, then I will make sure he finds Lil." her step-mother snarled.

Lilianna's father paled, "Please, don't hurt her."

Lil.

Lilianna swallowed, "D-do you know a man named Aaron?"

"Yes, I ended up having a daughter with him. I had to leave her with him though, I didn't want Darien's father to hurt her."

"Did you love Aaron?" Lilianna whispered.

Darien's mother smiled, "He was my world, I was going to marry him...but then...he disappeared and Darien's father tried killing me."

"Did you love your daughter?"

Darien's mother sighed, "Yes, I never got to meet her though. Well, I did hold her in my arms once, but then I had to leave her with him. I don't even know what he named her."

Lilianna clasped her hands together, "He named her Lilianna."

A/N: Hhehehehehehe
