Lilianna (NEW VERSION)

Chapter 21

I am currently writing these chapters while doing orientation for my new job. lol, go me.

"Seth..." Lilianna groaned, furrowing her eyebrows as a smell hit her nose.

"Huh?" he mumbled from beside her.

"Something is burning."

He instantly sat up and looked around, "I don't see-

"FIRE!" a voice screamed. 

Just like that, they heard many more voices and people screaming. Seth immediately grabbed Lilianna and started leading her out of their bedroom, when they opened the door, they were stunned to see the fire halfway down the hallway. Seth grabbed onto her wrist again and started going down the other hallway, trying his best to dodge the flames. Lilianna screamed as a piece of the ceiling fell, sending sparks and flames everywhere. Seth quickly got in front of her and allowed the flames to lick his skin instead of her's. He winced, but continued running through the house.

He easily found the second set of stairs and rushed down them, when Lilianna started to cough, he took off his shirt. 

"Breathe through this." he instructed.

She nodded as she covered her nose and mouth with the shirt, smoke surrounded them along with the flames, making it hard for him to see. More pieces of the ceiling fell and more flames burned his skin. He was relieved that his wolf was quickly healing him, making it far less painful to continue running. As they made their way to the closest exit, he would grab packmembers and guide them. When they finally reached their exit, parts of the ceiling and the upstairs were falling in front of it. 

"Seth, we need to find another exit." Lilianna coughed. "We don't have enough time for both of us."

He frowned, "I know. I love you, Lil."

"What are you saying?" she croaked, her voice cracking.

"I couldn't save my parents, but I can save you." 

She frowned before he grabbed her and shoved her outside, she spun around right as the exit was blocked off. She was shocked for a few seconds before she tried running back in, but someone quickly grabbed her.

"SETH! No, he's in there!" she cried, struggling to escape the person's grip.

"He'll find another way...he did last time." Ryan mumbled, but even she held doubt in her voice.

Seth coughed and gagged as the smoke went through his lungs, his eyesight became blurry as the heat grew stronger. He cried out in pain when something was suddenly shoved into his stomach and yanked out. He looked up to see Darien smirking at him.

"Bye-bye, Seth." Darien chuckled before shoving him into the wall. 

Seth winced as he fell to the ground, he climbed to his feet, but was immediately pinned down by a piece of the ceiling. He looked up to see Darien jumping through a window before it was covered by flames. 

"Get your ass up, son. Come on." he slowly looked up to see his father standing before him.

"Dad?"

His father smiled, "I'm not letting you die. Diana doesn't want you in heaven yet, let's go. Shift into your wolf. Then run, jump through that window. If you're fast enough, the flames won't burn you. Your wolf can give you the speed and strength. Oh and we love you Seth, you were never ever a replacement or a mistake." 

Seth obeyed and quickly shifted into his wolf, despite the sharp pain in his stomach. He easily pulled himself out from under the burning wood and sprinted towards the window. With a powerful leap, he jumped through the flames and landed on the ground outside. He shook out his fur before looked up at the burning house.

"SETH! SETH PLEASE!"

He followed Lilianna's voice to see her trying to escape his uncle's grasp, tears were running down her face as she watched the burning house. He whined and ran up to her before pouncing on her. She looked up as he licked her face.

"Seth?" she murmured.

He barked happily and licked her face, she laughed before frowning. He watched as she pulled her hand away from his belly, her eyes widened when she saw the blood. 

"You're bleeding, shift back. Steven, do you have some shorts?" she asked.

Seth got off and finally felt the pain, he whimpered as the pain started to grow worse. Steven quickly grabbed some shorts and handed them to Lilianna, she then handed them to Seth.

"Shift back." she said calmly, stroking his fur.

He shifted back and quickly threw on the shorts, he chuckled weakly when Lilianna mumbled about him hiding his package.

"Perv." he teased.

She half smiled, "I should be able to see all my future goods." 

He smiled before wincing again, she immediately inspected his wound. "Silver...how the hell did you get stabbed or whatever with silver?"

"D-Darien." he coughed.

"That fucking-

-that asshole!" Ryan finished as she too, inspected Seth's wound.

"I call dibs on ripping his head off." Lilianna voiced as she supported Seth.

He groaned as Ryan applied pressure to his wound, "Sorry." she mumbled.

"Come on, everyone is being transported to our pack. Your aunt already has a room in the hospital for you." Steven said as he gently wrapped his arm around Seth. 

"W-wait, we need to catch Darien, h-he did this." Seth breathed.

Lilianna frowned, "We will, but your health and the pack is more important."

"Plus, he's nowhere around here. Someone spotted him running into the forest a few minutes before you jumped out." Tyler sounded. 

Seth nodded tiredly, they were almost to the car before his world went dark.
