Chapter 12

So, I read all your replies and will reply after this chapter. :)

Lilianna groaned as she heard the pack cheering, she tried blocking it out with her pillow, but that didn't work. She sighed before pulling herself out of bed and storming downstairs, when she walked outside, she froze. The pack was surrounding Seth, yelling out insults and cheering as Darien walked around him, holding a whip. 

"So, you know what the punishment is for torturing someone, right?" Darien mused.

Seth swallowed, "Yes."

"Good. Let this show everyone that not even our ex-Alpha can escape punishment." Darien announced. 

As he raised his hand, Lilianna sprinted into the middle and snatched the whip out of his hand. The cheering stopped and so did Darien, she stood in front of Seth, not allowing Darien to see him.

"What the hell are you doing?" she demanded.

Darien frowned, "Punishing him..."

"Don't you think bullying him every day is enough of a punishment? My god, this is...he didn't have those guards whip me. How does this make you any better than him? And excuse me, but ex alpha?" she fumed. 

"He handed the alpha title over to me last night, so, I got down to business. He was locked in his room for the night and he's supposed to be getting his punishment right now. We haven't been bullying him, just treating him like he should be treated." Darien spat. "You should be enjoying this."

She gaped at him, "How the hell am I supposed to enjoy this? This won't make him better, what he does need, is a doctor. I was up thinking last night, yes, I am pissed off at him but...he had one hell of a traumatizing childhood. He had to watch his parents burn to death, he was forced to hide his emotions, he was shoved into being an Alpha at the age of thirteen. You all had your families, you all had your freedom, he never got the chance to be a regular teen. He had his freedom for eleven and a half years of his life before it was suddenly ripped away from him."

"But I'm not going to punish him for that, shit like that destroys someone's mind. I...I was angry yesterday, I don't hate him. I can't. Unlike you, I know the true Seth, and this isn't him. This is someone who had to hide his emotions and had no one there for him. When is the last time any of you were there for him?" 

She scanned everyone, shaking her head in disgust when they all looked away. "He had no one to be his shoulder to cry on. Unlike you, I know a few things about his past. I don't want any of those things to happen again. So, instead of hating him, I'm going to help him. I am glad that he gave up his title as alpha though, I think he needs a break from that stress. He needs some time to heal, for once. You all preach that torturing a packmember or rogue or whatever, is bad. Yet...you're cheering for this prick to whip your alpha? Seth may not be your alpha now, but he will be once he's better. He's your alpha for a reason, Darien is your beta for a reason. And Darien?"

"What?" he seethed.

"You will not be alpha." she stated.

He laughed, "Says who?"

"Me. I just got off the phone with my dad, my brother will be coming here to lead the pack." Ryan sounded as she walked forward. 

Lilianna glanced at her and nodded before kneeling beside Seth, "Hey." 

He didn't look at her, he did start to shake though. She frowned and gently cupped his cheek, "Come on, you lost weight, you need breakfast." 

He slowly looked at her with confusion, she smiled softly. "I don't forgive you...yet, but...I'm not going to just let you break again. I know how it feels to be abandoned, no one deserves that. Not even you." 

He didn't say anything as he got up and followed her back into the house, with one last glance, Lilianna closed the door.
