Chapter 20.5 - I'm Just Getting Started

Calum's POV

I've never seen anyone aside from Luke for the past two weeks. I haven't been going to band practices as well. I even missed a game but I told coach that.

Today's the gig and I know my band mates are all looking forward to it. I told Luke I wouldn't be able to make it but I would, I just want to surprise them.

We haven't practiced together for the past two weeks and with Luke skipping from time to time, I'm just wishing for the best for this gig.

I was still at work finishing the day before going to the gig when I heard a knock on my door. I told that someone to come in and what the fuck?

Naomi.

Why the fuck is she here?

A week ago she gave me The Cab CD and of course I was ecstatic but I haven't listened to it. I don't need her to buy me gifts, we're not even dating, and just because we're getting married, she thinks we are dating.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her not looking.

"Can't I visit my boyfriend?"

"I'm not your boyfriend." I snapped at her. I. AM. NOT. YOUR. BOYFRIEND.

She frowned at that and sat in front of me. She didn't say a thing after that, I guess I hurt her feelings. That's what I do best, she didn't know what she signed up for.

It was fun hanging out with her but I'm not her boyfriend, we could pass out as friends but in a relationship, no?

I don't even see myself being lovey dovey to her even after marriage. I actually see myself working throughout marriage that she'll get tired of me and then we'll get a divorce.

It was already five and I fixed my things. I went to the bathroom to change and when I came out, Mr. Stevenson was already there.

What does he want this time?

"Oh Calum, going somewhere?" He sheepishly grinned at me and I rolled my eyes. "At a friend's." I simply replied.

"You should bring Naomi with you." What. No!

"Why?" I asked him forcing myself to be nice even though I want to rip his head off.

"Well, for starters, you two are getting married, you should hang out more often, Naomi always has to drag herself here to see you, you don't even make an effort." He explained.

"Well, I was busy with work, so I had no time."

"Now you have time so go and hang out."

He literally pushed Naomi to me so I had no choice but to bring her.

We went to my car and drove to the bar.

We arrived at the venue and I came in carrying my bass. I looked around the bar to look for my band and Naomi whispered something funny.

She was pointing to a guy sitting in the bar with books all over his table.

What the hell? Did that guy come here to study? Not a good place dude.

I laughed at that and I saw Michael. We came close to Mike and he greeted us. "Oh my God, dude! I'm glad you made it. I honestly thought you were going to ditch us."

We hugged and I saw Ashton beside him and gave him a bro fist. Yeah, for the past weeks, Michael and I have gotten to terms and became close, even with Ashton.

I haven't seen Luke so I turned to Michael to ask but he yelled, "Mikhaela! June! Here!" I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard her name. June.
