Calum's POV

Today's the last game of the season and my last game in high school and like any other championships in the past, I wasn't really nervous knowing the other team sucks. Yeah, they do, real talk.

I can hear the screaming and cheering of our supporters. Things can never go wrong when it comes to school spirit.

The team started running out of the dugout and I scan through the audience looking for my lucky charm. I locked my eyes on her and grinned. She's really beautiful, I just have to point that out.

I turned my attention back to the game, readying myself.

In just mere ten minutes through the game, I already shot a goal and that got the crowd going. What can I say? I got my lucky charm watching.

It went on like that, me shooting every goal making our team win the final game. The whole crowd cheered and the whole team screamed. The band started playing our school cheers and we all went back to the dugout not without the team carrying me, of course.

"Dude! What you did back there will surely get you the best spot in Dartmouth, plus with your GPA! Ivy League, man!" Will patted my back and ruffled my hair. When I didn't respond, he asked again, "You're going to Dartmouth, right?"

I looked around but Will and answered, "Uh-not really planning on going Dartmouth, man."

"What?! That university had been scouting you for months! You're they're top pick!" Will reasoned out but I have the perfect alibi, "A lot of schools have me as their top pick."

"Well, yeah, but dude, that's Dartmouth! Dartmouth, only few students get the chance to get a spot there, let alone offered a scholarship." He exclaimed and I responded, "I already have a school in mind, okay, I can make my own decisions."

I walked away from him not wanting to hear any more lectures from him and got to my locker.

Yes, Dartmouth had talked to me before about a scholarship offer, other schools did as well. But what's making me doubt Dartmouth was the offer from NYU.

It was actually a good offer, and although June and I haven't talked about college, I know she likes to take up Computer Science and NYU has just the best courses.

I want us to go to the same college together, far away from home, but close to each other. I don't think I can handle any more second away from her.

Everyone had been greeted by their friends in the dugout, and not one of my friends came in. I took out a shirt form my locker and changed into it.

When I turned around, I saw her, beautiful as ever.

I walked closer to her and she smiled at me. "Congrats, Captain."

"You're here." I breathed out, taking in her beauty.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be her at my boyfriend's last game." I smiled at the statement and leaned in closer. I kissed her slowly, savoring the moment.

I snapped out of the kiss when June pulled away and I looked at her confused. I looked to where she was looking and I chuckle, pulling her with me.

Wait, this didn't happen before, right?

De ja vu

"Captain, get a room!" I heard Will yell from the back and I just flipped him off. I was about to walk out of the dugout when Will caught up to me.

"Hey cap! You still coming to the party right?" He eyed June and I snap at him, getting his attention, "Uh actually, I uh-"

I was interrupted by June talking, "You're going right?" I gave her the are-you-sure-we-could-just-hangout look, because honestly, I could just stay at home and cuddle with my girlfriend.

"See, your girlfriend already gave you permission, hah, I didn't know you're under her wing." Under her what? No, I'm fucking not.

I glared at him and he put his hands up in defense. "Yeah, sure, I'll go." Okay, maybe I'm a little bit under her wing.

We got outside the dugout and I intertwined our fingers, "You're going with me, right?"

"Why would I, it's your party, you should have fun with your teammates. We could hangout tomorrow at the gig."

"No, you're coming with me, you're the one who decided that I'll go so it's your punishment, you'll go with me." I smirked at her and she frowned. I laughed, "Don't worry, our friends can come, too."

She grinned at me and we walked to our friends.

"Where's the party, man?" Luke greeted us tapping my shoulder. I chuckled a little and answered, "Eric's"

It was always Eric's party, whatever occasion there is.

We then walked back to the field to meet my parents. June quickly pulled her hand away from me which made me frown. Then I remembered, our parents don't know yet.

I asked June before not to tell our parents. Well because, if dad finds out, shit's going down.

We met our parents and asked permission to the victory party. They allowed us and we all went to our cars.

We decided to take all three cars we brought to the game. June with me, Michael with Mikhaela, and Luke and Ashton.

We arrived at Eric's place and pulled June with me not wanting to let her go and get lost in the crowd.

I walked inside, everybody cheered and came to me. A lot of people greeted me, congratulating me and even thanking me. The house was so crowded that I didn't realize June got pushed away.

I got pushed farther and farther away from me, that I couldn't see her anymore.

"My man! For the first time in years, you come to my party." Eric greeted me and handed me a drink.

"I was at your last party." He just chuckled and pulled me away from the crowd with me still scanning it looking for my girlfriend.

"Looking for your girlfriend?" I looked at him briefly and back to the crowd, "Yeah, she's really not into parties."

"I see. Well, you should be careful, she might bump into someone you don't want her to bump into." What is he talking about?

I looked at him confused, "Like who?"

I looked back at the crowd and drank in my cup., "I don't know, my cousin, maybe?" Cousin? What's the big deal with his cousin?

I can feel him smirking behind me and I answered, "Who's cousin?"

What he said next got me dead in my tracks.

"Naomi."
