June's POV
Michael and Mikhaela have been weird since the start of class. I don't know what's wrong with them, obviously they didn't have a fight because they kept clinging on each other.
I don't think they hate me, though. They're just weird. It's like they're hiding something from me.
"Okay, cut the crap you two. Are you hiding something from me?" I furrowed my eyebrows at them and they just looked at each other as if talking with their eyes. I gasped, "Is Mikhaela pregnant? How many times have I told you about safe sex?!"
That ticked them off, "What? No! I'm not pregnant. Michael! Tell her!" Mikhaela nudged his boyfriend, "No, you tell her!" Michael looked at me then back to Mikhaela.
"If you don't tell me right what you're hiding-"
"Hey! You're the one who's been hiding something from us!" Michael answered and now both of them are looking at me.
I looked at them confused wondering what they're talking about, "What are you talking about?"
"You didn't tell us you were living with Calum!" My eyes widen and I quickly put my hand over Michael's mouth. "Shh! Don't broadcast it to the whole school." "So it is true, you've been living with him from the past month and you didn't even bother to tell us. I thought we're best friends?" Mikhaela asked me with hint of disappointment in her voice.
I couldn't help but feel super guilty at the fact that I've been living with Calum for more than a month now and I haven't even told my best friends. I was actually planning to today but they beat me to it.
"I'm sorry, I was planning on telling you, I just don't know how you'll react, you know especially of what happened." I blinked and pouted at them in hopes of them forgiving me.
"How is he treating you? Is he jerk to you?!" Michael's brotherly instinct once again made an appearance. "No-he's uh-his mom's really great." I smiled at them purposely cutting out the fact that Calum hasn't really been that less jerk to me.
Michael bought it but Mikhaela seems not to. After all, we grew up together, Michael and I just became close when he started asking me for help on Mikhaela.
"Well you'll have to bring us there soon, how about tomorrow after the game?" Michael wiggled his eyebrows at me and I only have one answer, "No."
"What? C'mon! He won't even be there; he's going to be celebrating their win. Plus, that visit is long overdue, you owe us for that." Mikhaela agreed with his boyfriend and I gave in. "Fine, but you have to leave before Calum comes home, or else, I'm dead."
Yes, Calum's team will surely win the game, they always win. Ever since Calum became captain, they've been unbeatable. My friends made party sounds as if they won in the lottery. The bell rang and we all went to our own classes.
--
The whole family would be going to the game so right now, we're all waiting for Calum to come down from his room. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and we greeted him downstairs.
"Goodluck son! I know you will do great." Aunt Joy hugged him and Uncle David gave him a fist bump. Calum grumbled lowly and Aunt Joy seems to notice it. "Does your head hurt? Wait I'm going to get a medicine for that."
"Oh. I have a medicine here, wait." I dug into my bag and found the box of medicine for headache and gave it to him. He took it and drank it with water from his tumbler.
"This won't make me dizzy, will it?" Calum asked me and I quickly scanned the box. "Warning: This may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Oh shit." He scoffed, rolled his eyes and passed by me, hitting me in the shoulder.
I looked at his parents and apologized, "I didn't mean to, I'm sorry."
"Don't worry, honey, he's strong. Now let's go." Aunt Joy replied and we went to her car riding separately with Calum.
We all arrived at the venue and sat in the front seats of the bleachers. I really hope Calum is strong to fight the drowsiness, if not, it will be all my fault if they lose the game. He's captain, there would be people scouting him and losing wouldn't be good.
The game has started and so far, our team is leading by one goal. Calum hasn't shown any signs of weakness so I think he fought the medicine's side effect.
Our side once again became wildcats when Calum made another goal. The referees called for halftime and all players started going to their dugouts. Everybody's cheering and my eyes fell on Calum, he was walking funnily with his teammates and something doesn't feel right.
A couple of minutes later, they came out and played the second half. The game was going good, so far, our team is still leading with two goals now going three as Calum has the ball and now coming closer to the goalie. He was going to kick the ball when he missed and the other team got it.
What happened to Calum? Is he okay?
He quickly followed the player trying to catch him when he fell. Everybody was shocked and stood up to their feet. The referee stopped the game for a while and all players came to Calum. He's unconscious and I did this to him. He was brought by a stretcher to the dugout and I find myself exiting the bleachers and following them.
I waited patiently until everyone is out from the dugout to come in. The game continued and I came in. He was still unconscious and I never felt guiltier. I stayed there for a couple more minutes when I heard howling coming into the dugout.
I quickly went out to the other side and I think all the screaming woke Calum up as I heard him ask his teammates about the game. I couldn't let him see me. He'll be mad. So mad.
--
I was going home on my own for a lot of reasons. Aunt Joy kept on calling me but I said that they need to check up on Calum. I also turned Michael and Mikhaela down with our plans to go the house after the game.
I'm now outside of the house and I'm dreading going inside. What would Calum say to me? Will he make me leave the house?
I was about to open the door but someone beat me to it. Luke.
"Hey, we've been waiting for you, where have you been?" Luke asked me as he open the door wider to let me in. "Is he okay?" I asked pertaining to Calum. "He's fine, he just fell unconscious because well, he fell. But he's okay now, nothing serious, I mean, their team won anyways."
I smiled at that thought however, I know Calum, he always wants the last goal. I came in the living room and there I saw his parents and my dad. "Honey, where have you been? We were worried." My dad asked me.
"I just needed some fresh air."
"You shouldn't worry about Calum, his team won anyways, you just did what you had to do." Aunt Joy assured me.
"Have you eaten? Your dad cooked dinner, it was really delicious." Luke nudged me but I don't seem to have the energy so I politely declined and went up to my room.
Should I apologize?
I'm not ready for Calum's rage so maybe I should apologize to him when he's well rested.
Don't worry too much about Calum, it's not your fault. Cheer up! You should rest, you looked tired. Sleep tight June. :-)

I smiled at the text but I didn't bother to reply, I'll just do that tomorrow. I'm pretty tired myself so I dropped on my bed and let the darkness swallow me.
