**the day before the first concert**
My eyes fluttered open and the light flooded in from the window. I must have forgotten to close the curtains because they were wide open, letting the blinding sun in. I picked up my glasses and slipped them on. I reached for my phone and checked the time. 1:13 wow I'd slept in late... I swung my legs out of bed and stood up. I grabbed my black hoodie and pulled it over my head. I slowly opened my door and stepped out. Dan was sat on the sofa watching the news. He turned to look at me.
"Finally! You're awake!" Dan laughed. "We need to be gone by three, sound check."
"What?!" I yelled. "We'll be there from three until whatever time it finishes?" I asked, my voice slightly calmer.
"Yes..." Dan laughed. "Sound checks are very important you know"
"I know, but, that's a long time" I said slumping on the sofa next to Dan.
"And??" He said putting his arm on the sofa behind me.
"That's a very long time to think about what I'm going to do tonight" I said putting my head on Dan's shoulder.
"And what are you going to do tonight?" Dan asked with his eyebrows raised and a small smirk on his face.
He knew what I was going to answer because we'd had this conversation before and he told me what I was going to do.
"I'm going to perform with you, the crowd will love it, and so will I" I huffed. Dan had practically put those words right into my mouth.
"Exactly" he said kissing my temple. "Now, come on, get ready" he said patting my head.
"Okay, okay, fine," I stood up and walked towards my room. "Should I wear what I'm wearing tonight?" I asked turning around.
"Sure, if you want to" Dan smiled.
"Are you?" I asked.
"Well, I'm gonna change in a moment, but that is what I'll be wearing tonight, yes" he laughed.
"Right" I muttered.
I smiled and walked back into my room. I pulled out my black jeans and a denim shirt, from my drawers. I walked over to my wardrobe and pulled out my red fluffy jumper. It wasn't bright red, more of a dark red or a burgundy colour. I wondered if I was going to be too hot so I walked back out to Dan.
"Dan?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He said turning towards me.
"Will I be too hot in this?" I held up my fluffy jumper.
"Probably" he chuckled.
"Urgh" I moaned turning back into my room.
I put all the clothes, that I'd pulled out, away. I picked up my blue skinny jeans and my red checked shirt. I huffed and walked out of my room and into the bathroom. I hopped into the shower and washed my hair. As the warm water ran down my back I shut my eyes, enjoying the quietness. That was ruined when I heard loud shouting coming from the other room.
"First gig tonight! Woo it's going to be awesome!" I heard Kyle yell.
Okay, so the guys were here... And I'm in the shower. It's a good job I locked the door.
"Where's Lil?" Woody asked.
"In the shower" Dan laughed.
"Preparing for the night to come!" Kyle yelled.
I jumped out of the shower and got changed quickly. I pulled my jeans on, with great difficulty, I love skinny jeans but they're really hard to put on. I slipped my arms into my shirt and buttoned it up. I quickly dried my hair with the towel. It didn't really do much, so I shook my head like a dog. Water flicked everywhere and I giggled hanging my towel up and walked out.
