I woke to the sound of the classic iPhone alarm ringtone. Urgh. It was my first day back to school after returning from South Africa. I wasn't staying at school for long, I was going with Bastille on their UK tour in a few weeks. I groaned, switching my alarm off and stretching my limbs. I got out of bed and opened the curtains. I walked out of my room and into Dan's.
"Daaaan" I called.
"Mmm what?" he grumbled sleepily.
"It's my first day back at school today" I walked over to his bed.
"What time is it?" He mumbled.
"Seven"
"Urgh" I felt warm hands on my wrists and was pulled onto the bed. "Five more minutes" He moaned, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me to him.
"Daaan" I moaned, pushing him away. "We have to get up"
"Nooo it's only seven" He tightened his grip on my and buried his head into my shoulder.
I sighed and snuggled into his chest. "Fine, but if I'm late, it's your fault" I mumbled, closing my eyes.
"Okay" he muttered tiredly.
I woke again to the sound of Dan's phone ringing.
"Dan" I mumbled, shoving him lightly.
"What?" he moaned, lifting his head from my shoulder.
"Your phone is ringing" I pulled away from him and looked at the time. "Shit! Dan it's eight!"
"Shit" he muttered, jumping out if bed and rushing into the living room.
I rushed out of his room and into my own. I dragged a brush through my hair cringed at my image in the mirror. I groaned and stuck my hair in a pony tail. I quickly changed into my uniform and walked out.
"You know, in all these months I've known you, I've never seen you with your hair tied up" Dan laughed as I joined him in the kitchen.
"Well, I don't have any time to do anything to it, so look-" I paused and took my hair out of the pony tail. "It's just so... Messy" I laughed, putting my hair back up.
"I see your point" Dan laughed and handed me a plate with two pieces of toast covered in strawberry jam on it.
"Exactly" I laughed, taking the plate from him. "Thanks" I smiled, walking around the island in the kitchen and slumped onto the sofa.
Dan joined me with some toast and we ate quickly. Dan and I looked at each other and then to the empty bathroom. I jumped up and ran towards the bathroom.
"Nooooo" Dan yelled as he caught up to me.
He ran inside and began shutting the door. I pushed with all that I had, but Dan was still stronger. The door slammed shut and Dan's victory laugh sounded through the apartment.
"No! Dan!" I hit my fists on the door.
"I got here first!" He laughed and I heard the shower turn on.
"But you can get ready after you've dropped me off" I yelled through the door.
"Who says I'm dropping you off" I could practically hear the smirk ok his face.
"I do, now open the door" I knocked loudly.
"I'm already in the shower" He laughed.
"Well, get out of the shower!" I yelled.
"Nope!" He laughed evilly.
I pulled a coin out of my pocket and lined it up with the lock on the bathroom door. He better have the shower curtain closed. I turned the coin and the door opened. Thank god the shower curtain is closed.
