I pressed the button and the lift doors opened. I stepped inside, with Robbie following. I don't know why he was still here, he didn't have to walk me all the way to my door. I hadn't bought much, just a few things for Chloe and myself and one thing for Kyle. I had bought a T-shirt for Chloe and a mug. I know it's not the best of presents, but I couldn't think of anything else, I only met her a few days ago so I don't really know her. I bought a T-shirt with a multicoloured kitten on it, for me, and one in a bigger size for Kyle. Robbie bought some things for Olly, I didn't really know what they were. All I know is that he bought some drum sticks for him. I pushed my key into the lock and the door swung open. No one was home.
"Well, thanks for coming with me, I had fun" Robbie smiled.
"Yeah, no problem, me too" I smiled.
"So, um, bye" he smiled.
He turned round and was about to walk away when I stopped him.
"Wait!" I yelled.
He spun around and looked at me.
"Do, uh, do you want to stay for a bit, Dan's not going to be back before 10" I asked shyly.
"Oh, yeah, sure" he smiled.
"Okay, well, come in" I smiled, stepping aside, letting him enter the apartment.
We sat on the sofa and talked for a while. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my pocket. I had a text from Dan. I noticed the time and gasped. It was already 8pm. Wow. Today has flown by. I opened the text.
Dan : Hey Lily, just checking up on you, hope you're okay, how did the shopping trip go? I'll be back at 10, love you xxx
I smiled at my phone and typed a reply.
Lily : Hey Dan, I'm fine :) the trip was good I got the coolest T-shirt ever, can't wait to show you! I love you too xxx
I slipped my phone back into my pocket.
"Wow it's already eight" I laughed.
"Oh, wow, really? I should get going, my parents are going to be wondering where I am" Robbie laughed, standing up.
"Okay, thanks for staying" I smiled.
"No problem" he smiled.
We stared at each other for a few seconds, but it felt like forever. Robbie slowly leant closer to me and wrapped me in a friendly hug. I hugged him back and let go after a few seconds.
"Bye" he smiled, heading towards the door, with me following.
"See ya" I smiled.
"Oh! Before I forget, please can you ask Woody to sign these?" He asked, pulling a pair of drumsticks out of his bag. "They're for Olly, he has a collection of drumsticks signed by famous drummers" he laughed. "He has about six"
"Yeah sure, I'll give them to Woody the next time I see him" I smiled, taking the drumsticks from his large hands and putting them in my school bag so I wouldn't lose them.
"Thanks, I'll see you later" he smiled.
"Bye" I closed the door behind him and slumped onto the sofa.
I turned the TV on and watched an episode of Twin Peaks.
When it finished I peeled myself from the sofa and padded into my room. I changed into a pair of sweatpants and rummaged through my drawers for a baggy T-shirt. When I couldn't find one that I liked, I walked into Dan's room. My eyes scanned the large bookshelf which had piles of clothes on it, along with other things, like books, photos and random tat. My eyes widened when I saw a picture that looked to be cut out of a newspaper. It was a picture of me and the guys onstage. The headline read: Mystery Girl Wows Fans. I laughed in shock and turned my attention back to Dan's T-shirts. I found a black T-shirt with a heart on it that had legs. I pulled off my school shirt and slipped on Dan's tee. I hope he doesn't mind.
