"Lily... Lily... Lil... Lilypad... Oi! Lil!" Dan prodded me gently on the side.

I moaned and rolled over. "Go awayyy"

"Liillyyy it's your first day at schooool, you don't want to be laattee" Dan sang.

"No. I don't want to go" I moaned as I buried my head into my pillow.

"Don't make me do this" Dan warned.

"Do what?" I asked, pulling my duvet over my head.

"This!" He laughed as he yanked my duvet away from me.

"Daaan" I moaned and tried to get my duvet back.

"Lil, get up" Dan said prodding me again.

"Stop prodding me" I whined.

"Get up and I will" he smirked.

"Nooo" I rolled over, turning my back to Dan.

"Yeess" he sang as he prodded me harder.

"Okay! Okay! Fine!" I moaned as I fell out of bed.

"Good, toast for breakfast?" He asked.

"Thanks" I smiled. "I'm going to have a shower first though"

"Okay" he smiled, walking out.

I grabbed my towel and my uniform and made my way slowly to the bathroom. I locked the door and switched the shower on. I turned the heat down, opting for a cold shower that would wake me up. I hopped into the shower and let the cold water run all over my body. I shivered and turned the heat up slightly. I quickly washed my hair and stepped out. I changed into my new uniform and brushed my teeth. I walked out with a towel around my hair and sat down on the sofa next to Dan.

"Breakfast is served" he laughed as he handed me a plate of toast.

"Thank you" I smiled as I took a bite.

I quickly devoured my toast and put my plate in the dishwasher. Dan was sat watching the news so I walked into my room and dried my hair. I left it in its usual and natural style, down and slightly wavy. I headed back out to Dan, grabbing my phone on the way. I saw that I had three new messages. I slumped on the sofa next to Dan and opened the first one.

Josie : Hey Lil! Wow it seems like ages since I last texted you! I miss you so much! Xxx

I giggled and opened the next one.

Josie : Hey Lil! Miss you, so get this right, miss Duncan fell down the stairs today, HA! That bitch gets what she deserves! Xxx

I laughed and opened the next one.

Josie : Okay, I get it, I'm probably being quite annoying, sorry, but it's lonely without you so I just sit on my phone all day. Urgh, miss you xxx

I giggled and Dan's head turned my way.

"Just Josie being Josie" I laughed.

"Oh right" Dan laughed turning back to the TV.

I typed a reply.

Lily : Hey Jo! Sorry, no you're not being annoying, I just haven't looked at my phone in a while, I've been busy, I thought you had Becky? Omg guess where Dan's making me go? School. Okay well he isn't making me go, but it was his idea for me to go. I can't believe she fell down the stairs! Is she okay? Miss you too Jo xxx

I turned my attention to the screen and saw the time in the corner. It was 8:32am.

"Dan when does school start?" I asked.
