Okay you're all probably going to really hate me for this but I'm really really sorry. This is the end of Things We Lost In The Fire, for now, I'm just really stressed because I've got lots of exams coming up and I need to focus on those instead of this. I'm really behind in my school work so I'm going to finish this and put my other fic on hold so I can catch up with my work as I'm currently well under my target grades for quite a few subjects. I'm sorry for ending this so abruptly but maybe after my exams I'll fill in the space I skipped past. Thank you for reading my waffle, so here's the chapter:

The next few years flew by and I was off to Manchester University to study music technology. I sighed as I looked around my room in our flat. It was emptier than it was when I first moved in. Dan came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"I'm going to miss not having you around all the time, Lilypad" He sighed.

"I'm going to miss you to" I sighed, turning around, hugging him tightly.

"You've grown up so fast, it feels like it was only yesterday I found you on that bench" Dan sighed into my shoulder.

"I know" I let some tears slip from underneath my closed eyelids.

"Don't cry sweetie, you'll be back for Christmas won't you?" Dan pulled away slightly so he could look me in the eye.

"Yeah of course" I smiled, wiping my cheeks. "Wouldn't miss it for the world"

"Good" He hugged me tightly again. "I can't believe you're leaving for four months"

"Me neither, I wish you could come with me" I sighed into his shoulder.

"So do I" He mumbled.

He tried to pull away but I held him tightly.

"Lily, come on, you have to go, the guys are waiting at the station for us" Dan laughed.

"I don't want to go" I sobbed quietly. "I'll miss you too much"

"I'll miss you too" Dan sniffed. "You know, most people are excited to start uni"

"Well not me, my life is perfect here, I don't want to leave it behind" I whispered.

"It's okay, you're going to love uni!" Dan laughed enthusiastically, successfully pulling away from me.

"Meh" I mumbled.

"Come on you're going to miss your train" Dan smiled, taking my bags and dragging them out of the house.

I stood in the middle of the apartment and looked around.

"You coming Lil?" Dan asked, popping his head around the door.

"Yeah-I-just-" I smiled, trying not to cry.

"Okay, I'll give you a minute" Dan smiled, closing the door behind him.

I rushed into his room and grabbed his little notebook that he had finished and unfinished songs on almost every page. I grabbed a pen and wrote in the back.

'Dan,

I know I'll be back soon, but I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me these past few years. I owe you the world. You don't know how thankful I am to have you in my life. I will miss you so much.

I love you, Dan,

Lily xx'

I put the pen and his book back where I found them and rushed out of his room, grabbing one of his T-shirts. I hope he doesn't mind. I stuffed it into my rucksack and walked out of the apartment. Dan smiled as we got into the lift. I hugged him again and didn't let go until the doors opened again.

We eventually made it to the train station and I saw all the guys waiting outside. I rushed over to them and attacked Kyle with a hug, as he was standing closest.

"I'm going to miss you" I cried.

"I'll miss you too my, not so little anymore, Lilypad" Kyle sniffed.

I reluctantly let go of Kyle and hugged Woody tightly.

"Have fun up there kiddo" Woody muttered into my ear. "I'll miss you"

"I will Woodster" I smiled, letting some tears escape from under my closed eyelids. "I'll miss you too"

I let go of Woody and squished Will with all I had.

"I'll miss you Farquarson" I sobbed.

"I'll miss you too Lil" Will squeezed me tightly.

"The 11:45 train to Manchester Picadilly is now boarding, all passengers go to platform 4" The voice over boomed throughout the station.

I let go of Will and clung onto Dan for dear life.

"I don't want to go" I cried into his chest.

"I don't want you to go either, but you have to, your whole life awaits you" Dan rubbed circles onto my back, his voice cracking at the end.

"I love you" I muttered.

"I love you too" Dan looked me in the eye and kissed my forehead. "Now go on, before you miss your train"

He wiped the tears away from his cheeks as I let go.

"Bye!" I waved.

"Bye Lily!" They all shouted.

I turned around and headed for my platform. I wiped the tears away from my cheeks as I dragged my heavy suitcase behind me.

I sat on the train and put my headphones in. I put Bastille on and let Dan's beautiful voice fill my senses. I pulled his T-shirt out of my bag and clung onto it for dear life. I inhaled the familiar scent and tried not to cry. As the scenery flew by, I looked out of the window, replaying every memory I have of Dan and the guys. This was it. My time with Dan was finally over and I couldn't be more devastated.

Hello! Here it is! The end! Again, I'm sorry to just skip to the end like that.

Before anyone asks, I might post a sequel but it depends if you want one or not. I have a few ideas swimming around in my crazy little mind so if you want me to I'll consider writing one. But as I said before, I want to focus on my exams, so until they're finished I won't post anything.

Finally, thank you all so much for reading this it means a lot. I've had fun writing this and reading all your lovely comments ^_^

I'll see you all in the future when we're older:)
