I avoided Robbie for the majority of the day. The bell rang, signalling the end of school. I darted out of the room and ran straight into a familiar boy.

"Hey Lily" Robbie smiled.

"Hey Robbie" I smiled awkwardly.

"So, well, I'll meet you at the cinema at six, okay?" He asked pulling something out of his bag. "Here's my phone number, so text me so I can have your number, then I'll text you when I'm there okay?"

"Okay" I laughed, taking the piece of paper which Robbie was wafting in my face.

"See you later then" he smiled and hugged me quickly.

"Bye" I called after him as he ran for his bus.

I sighed and walked towards the school gates. I began to panic when Dan wasn't there but I released a breath, I didn't know I was holding, when I saw Kyle.

"The sass master returns" I laughed hugging Kyle.

"Hey kiddo" Kyle laughed hugging me back.

"Where's Dan?" I asked as we walked to Kyle's car.

"He's busy, at the recording studio. Don't worry, he'll be back before your date tonight" Kyle winked.

"Hey! It's not a date! Don't start that again! Hey how did you know?!" I laughed as we got into Kyle's car.

"Start what?" He laughed, avoiding my question.

"You know what" I giggled.

"Oh, with your first kiss? Oohh maybe you'll get your second tonight!" Kyle sang.

"I deeply regret telling you that" I sighed.

"What? Why? The sass master likes to know the gossip" Kyle chuckled.

I burst out laughing as Kyle began to drive to Dan's apartment. I switched on the radio and Of The Night came on. I screamed and turned it up. Kyle turned it down at first but when I turned it back up he just laughed and we sang along to Dan's amazing voice.

"This is the rhythm oooof the night
Theeee night
Oooh yeahh
The rhythm of the niiiiight" we sang and Kyle tapped his thumbs on the steering wheel, to the beat that he hits the drum.

When the song finished we cheered and burst out laughing.

"We sang that much better than Dan. Of The Night, the car version, by Lily and Kyle. That'll be number one in the charts. I know it." I said.

Kyle laughed and parked the car. We hopped out and walked side by side into the building. We went into the lift and made our way up to the flat in silence. He unlocked the door and we walked inside. I kicked my shoes off, flinging my bag onto the floor and flopped onto the sofa. Kyle jumped over the back of he sofa and sat next to me. He switched the TV on and flicked through the channels until he found something he liked. Somehow he managed to find a show about cats. He giggled and clapped his hands furiously as he snuggled back into the sofa to watch the cat show. I sighed and turned my attention to the screen.

Occasionally I'd turn to look at Kyle and he would be sat there smiling at the TV. I suppressed my laugh and continued watching.

When the program ended I went to get ready for tonight. I jumped into the shower and washed my hair quickly. I changed into my black jeans and my white wolf T-shirt. I walked out and saw Kyle on the sofa, with Dan.

"Dan!" I smiled.

"Hey Lily!" He jumped up from the sofa and hugged me.

"How was your day?" I asked as we released each other.

"It was good, same old, record new ideas, rerecord old ideas" he laughed.

"Cool!" I laughed. "I'm going to dry my hair, be right back" I smiled and trotted off to my bedroom.

As I was drying my hair my mind wandered to the events that were to happen tonight. At first I thought it would be really awkward, but then my mind changed and I became quite excited. I was going on my first real date! When my hair was dry I applied some light make up, the usual, eyeliner, mascara and a little bit of foundation. I walked out of my room after fiddling with my hair. I decided that I wasn't going to do anything with it. Just leave it natural and fluffy. I grabbed a black beanie and slipped it over my hair. Dan and Kyle smiled as I joined them in the living room.

"You hungry?" Dan asked as I sat down on the sofa next to him.

"Hmm... Yeah" I smiled.

"Nutella sandwich?" He asked standing up.

"Yes please" I smiled.

"Kyle, do you want anything?" He asked.

"I'm good mate" Kyle replied.

"Okay, two Nutella butties" Dan muttered to himself as he pulled the bread out of the cupboard.

I turned my attention to the screen and it was another cat show. I rolled my eyes and turned to watch the screen. Dan returned shortly with two Nutella sandwiches. He handed one to me and sat down in between me and Kyle. We tucked into our sandwiches and devoured them quickly.

I suddenly remembered that I needed to text Robbie, so I jumped up from the sofa, put my plate in the dishwasher and ran into my room. I grabbed my phone and pulled the piece of paper out of my blazer pocket which Robbie had given to me. I pressed the number into my phone and began to type a message.

Lily : Hey Robbie, it's Lily x

I almost instantly got a reply.

Robbie : Hey Lily, so I'll meet you at the cinema round the corner from school at 6? X

I smiled and typed a reply.

Lily : Yeah sure, see you then x

I smiled and pushed my phone in my pocket. I grabbed some money from my small piggy bank and shoved it into my pocket. I grabbed my denim jacket and headed back out to the guys. Kyle was slipping his shoes on when I entered the room.

"I've got to go now Lilypad, I'll see you tomorrow" Kyle said as he hugged me.

"Bye cat-man" I called after him and he waved, closing the door.

"Soooo" Dan said with his eyebrows raised.

"So?" I asked confused.

"You've got a date tonight hu?" Dan winked.

"No. Shut up. We're just two friends watching a film, okay?" I said sitting down next to Dan on the sofa.

"Oooohh Lily's got a boyfriend" Dan sang as he wrapped his arm around me.

"Daniel. Stop." I said harshly, pushing him away.

"Aww come on Lil, you can tell me if you have a boyfriend" he laughed, avoiding my attempt to push him away and wrapped his arms around me.

"I dooonnn'ttt" I moaned, leaning my head on Dan's shoulder.

"Okay" he said in a questioning tone.

"Dan! I don't!" I sat up and looked him directly in his beautiful blue eyes.

"Okay, okay, I believe you" he chuckled.

"Okay, good" I huffed.

"What time are you going?" Dan asked.

"I'm meeting Robbie there at 6" I said.

"Ooh, so his name is Robbie" Dan winked.

"Stop"

"Okay, sorry" he chuckled.

"Thank you" I breathed.

"Lil, you better get going, it's quarter to six now" Dan said, breaking the silence.

"Shit" I muttered and Dan raised his eyebrows. "What? I get it from you" I laughed.

"Do you want me to drive you?" Dan asked, ignoring my little comment.

"Yes please" I smiled.

"Okay, lets get going" he laughed and helped me up from the sofa.

I slipped my white converse on and followed Dan out of the door.

"Do you need money?" He asked as we got into his car.

"Na, I've got some" I smiled.

"Okay, which cinema is it?" He asked.

"The one near school" I smiled.

"Okay" Dan smiled and nodded.

He turned the key and began to drive to the cinema. We made it there in a matter of minutes. I thanked Dan for driving me and stepped out into the cold December air. To my surprise Dan got out of the car and walked over to me.

"Ring me when you want picking up, okay?" He smiled.

"Okay" I smiled.

"Have fun kiddo" he said whilst hugging me.

"Thanks Dan" I smiled and he let go.

"I'll see you later" he waved and got back in his car.

I waved back as he drove off. As he went out of sight I sighed and turned towards the cinema. I looked around for Robbie but I couldn't see him. I looked through the glass to see him standing inside with his hands in his pockets and his head down, waiting for me. I smiled and walked inside, adjusting my beanie.

"Hey Robbie" I smiled as he looked up.

"Hi Lily" he smiled. "I already bought our tickets so we can just go straight in"

"Oh! Do you want me to pay? How much was my ticket?" I asked.

"Oh, my treat" he smiled.

"Oh, wow, thank you" I smiled shyly.

"Would you like a drink or some food?" He asked.

"Uh, sure" I smiled and we walked over to the counter where they sold the food.

"Next" the woman behind the till said looking at me.

"Ladies first" Robbie smiled.

"Thanks" I smiled shyly.

I walked up to the till and ordered a small coke and a small bag of popcorn. It suddenly hit me when I realised I had no idea what film we were watching. I hope it's good. The woman handed me my things and I stood aside to let Robbie order. He ordered the same as me, but regular size, instead of small. He collected his things and I followed him to the right screen.

"Robbie?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah?" He replied, holding the door for me to go inside the large room.

"What film are we watching?" I asked.

"Oh, the hunger games, I know it came out ages ago but I haven't seen it yet and I really wanted to... Have you seen it?" He asked nervously.

"Uh, no I've not, I've heard that it's good though!" I laughed.

We walked to the back of the cinema and sat in the middle of the back row. I put my drink into the drinks holder and my popcorn on my lap.

The adverts came on, making a loud noise, causing me to jump and spill my popcorn.

"Ahh crap" I muttered.

Robbie laughed and he poured some of his popcorn into my half empty bag.

"Thank you, you didn't have to do that" I giggled.

"I know" he smiled.

We sat staring at each other for a while and I realised how attractive he was. His skin was flawless, his teeth were perfectly straight and a bright white colour. His curly hair was scruffily styled, but in a perfect way. His glasses sit nicely on his nose and his eyes were the perfect shade of brown and were framed with a set of thick dark eyelashes. Basically, he was perfect. I smiled at the thought that I had moved on from Will. He was a jerk and only liked me because of Bastille. But Robbie, he was different. He smiled at me like he actually like me for me, not for my famous dad.

"Movie's starting" Robbie chuckled and looked at the screen.

I turned to the screen and the film started.

*****************************

I yawned and stretched my arms out in front of me as the credits began rolling and the lights came on. Half way through the film, Robbie did the cheesy, pretend to yawn but put your arm around her, thing. I didn't mind though. We stood up and as we walked out, Robbie took my hand in his.

"Thanks for such a good night" I smiled, dropping his hand.

"Thank you" he smiled.

I awkwardly pulled my phone out of my pocket and texted Dan to come and get me. We stood in silence for a few minutes until he broke it.

"Lily?" He asked.

"Yeah?" I said looking into his amazing brown eyes.

"I want to do this again, you know, go out, it was fun and..." He paused. "I think I like you" he blushed and looked at his feet.

I smiled and he looked back into my eyes.

"I think I like you too" I smiled.

I did something that I wasn't expecting myself to do. I stood on my tip toes and kissed his cheek. At first I was going for his lips, but decided not to, because I was scared of being rejected. I didn't want him rejecting me. He still could though. I stepped back down from my tip toes and blushed, looking at my feet. The next thing that Robbie did, took me completely by surprise. He put his long finger under my chin, tilting my head up and leaned forward. Pressing his soft lips against mine. It was just a quick kiss, but I still felt fireworks go between us. When he pulled away, I smiled and he returned it. I was going to say something, but I noticed Dan's car driving towards us. I waved at him and he pulled the car up.

"Thanks for a great night" I smiled at Robbie and opened the car door.

"I'll see you tomorrow" Robbie smiled.

"Bye" I mumbled as I closed the car door.
