My eyes opened slowly and I yawned. I jumped when I felt the bed move next to me. I turned around and came face to face with a smiling Dan.

"Good morning" he grinned.

"Morning" I smiled and shuffled backwards awkwardly.

"Hungry?" Dan asked.

"Mmhmm" I nodded.

"Cool, let's go get the guys and get some breakfast" Dan smiled and hopped out of bed.

I laughed and my eyes followed Dan to the bathroom. He locked the door and I climbed out of bed. I walked over to my suitcase and pulled out my white wolf T-shirt and my black jeans. Dan unlocked the door and walked out, wearing his blacks jeans and hit TKAK T-shirt. His hair was wet but it still stuck up in all directions.

He smiled as I passed him and walked into the steamy bathroom. I quickly jumped into the shower and washed my tangled hair. I jumped out and combed through my dripping hair. I quickly changed and applied some makeup. I slipped my glasses back on and walked out of the bathroom.

"Hello" I smiled as I saw Kyle, Will and Woody all sat in our hotel room.

A chorus of "hey"s and "hello"s came from the guys.

"I'm hungryyy" Kyle moaned as I slipped my denim jacket and my black converse on.

"Let's go!" Will laughed as he stood up and opened the door.

"Yaaay" Kyle cheered and ran out of the door.

I followed behind him and so did the others. We walked down to the breakfast area and sat down at a table. It was like a buffet, so we could help our selves. Dan, Kyle and myself went to the food first, whilst Woody and Will watched our table. I pulled and egg and some bacon onto two slices of toast and poured myself a glass of orange juice. I looked over to see Dan and Kyle hadn't finished loading their plates, so I walked over to the table. Woody and Will smiled as I sat down. I thought that they would get up to get food but they didn't, they just sat there.

"You can go get some food if you'd like, I don't mind sitting on my own" I laughed.

"You sure?" Will asked.

"Yeah, go" I smiled.

"Thanks" they said as they got up and walked over to the food.

I picked up my knife and fork and tucked into my food. I'd eaten half a slice of toast by the time Dan and Kyle returned. Will and Woody returned as I was finishing my first slice of toast. Little conversation was exchanged as we ate. I didn't say much, I was focused on my food.

"Where's the next show?" Will asked.

"Uh, Leeds?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah, I think so" Dan agreed.

"Yeah, it is" Woody said as he checked his phone.

"Lily, are you excited?" Dan asked.

I looked up from my plate and smiled.

"Yeah, very" I smiled.

I looked back down and cut a piece of delicious bacon in half.

"I can feel the draw, I can feel it pulling me back, it's pulling me back, it's pulling me!" I sang/shouted as we drove down the motorway.

"I can feel the draw, the draw, the draw!" Dan sang/shouted.

"THE DRAW!" We all sand/shouted.

We all exploded with a roar of laughter as we continued to drive at a high speed down the road. Dan pressed the indicator down and turned off the motorway. We were laughing and talking until a large sign came up saying "Welcome To Preston".

"Shit" Dan muttered.

"Oh my god, Dan!" Kyle shouted.

"Sorry! Shit, oh my god, we're at least two hours away from where we need to be, shit, shit, shit" Dan said to himself.

"It's, fine, it's 2pm now, what time to we need to be there?" I asked, trying to be as calm as I could.

"2:30" Dan said bluntly.

"Oh" I muttered.

"There, turn there" Woody said pointing to a small road. "You can turn around there."

"Okay" Dan said turning down a small side road.

He quickly turned around and pulled out again. He pressed his foot down on the acceleration and drove a few miles per hour above the limit.

"I'll ring the venue" Will said as he pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Good thinking" Dan said.

"Hello, yes, hi, this is Will Farquarson, from Bastille, I have some bad news" Will said slowly.

He paused and frowned at what the person on the other side of the phone had said.

"Uh, well, we took a wrong turning and we're at least two hours away" he said quickly.

"Sorry, yes, we'll try and get there as fast as we can" he apologised. "Yes, thank you, okay...bye" he ended the call and put the phone back in his pocket.

"So?" Kyle asked.

"They've said that we can do the soundcheck at half three instead" Will said.

"Okay, we're just turning onto the motorway, so if there's no traffic we'll definitely make it in time" Dan said.

He increased the speed and we zoomed down the motorway. I put my head on Woody's shoulder and closed my eyes.

I woke to find us sat still in a massive line of traffic. Dan was muttering to himself as he tapped his thumbs impatiently on the steering wheel. I looked at my phone to see the time and sighed. It was 3pm.

"Where are we?" I asked quietly.

"About half an hour away, without traffic" Dan said angrily.

"Oh" I sighed and put my head back on Woody's shoulder.

Luckily, most of the cars turned off the motorway and we were finally able to move faster than a snail. We pulled up to the back of the venue and it was 3:35pm. I'm sure they won't mind that were five minutes late...

"Where have you been!" An angry man said as we entered the dark building.

"Sorry, I made a wrong turn and and and-" Dan stuttered nervously.

"Never mind, get your stuff set up, now!" He cut Dan off and stormed angrily away.

"Someone's on their man period" I muttered and Dan laughed, did he hear that... Oops.

We quickly set up everything and started the soundcheck.

"This is the rhythm of the night,
The night,
Oh yeah,
The rhythm of the night" Dan sang into the microphone.

He hit the drum a few times and pointed to it and then pointed up, indicating that he wanted the drum to be louder. I had no idea who he was looking at, so I just walked over to my keyboard and began playing it. I jumped back when the sound of my playing was blasted through the amps. Dan burst out laughing and I frowned at him.

"Dan!" I moaned.

"Sorry" he chuckled.

We played through a few songs, adjusting the volume of each instrument so that we had a perfect balance.

A sick feeling washed over me as the lights went out and we walked towards the stage. The audience were screaming and cheering for Bastille. I looked uneasily at Dan and he took my hand in his and squeezed it gently. We walked on and Dan quickly kissed my forehead, before he dropped my hand and walked over to his microphone.

"Hi, we're Bastille and this is..." He turned to me and smiled.

"Lily" I said and the audience went crazy.

We began to play our opening song, Bad Blood. I laughed nervously as the audience cheered.

"We were young and drinking in the park, there was nowhere else to go" the audience sang along with Dan.

I was stood with Kyle at his keyboard and shared his microphone. Kyle played the melody and I played the baseline, an octave above Will on his bass.
