The sky darkened as we entered Manchester. I didn't just have butterflies in my stomach. I had butterflies, bees, birds and all sorts of other animals. I was excited and extremely nervous at the same time. I peaked over to Dan who was singing along to the radio, 'we can't stop' was playing.

"You guys should do a cover of this, I bet it'd be amazing" I said pointing to the radio.

"You think?" Dan asked.

"Yeah!" I laughed.

Will Woody and Kyle joined Dan with the singing and I sat there smiling to myself like a dumbstruck idiot. They did sound great as Kyle, Woody and Will had figured out some amazing harmonies, so they were all harmonising with Miley and with each other.

We pulled up to the Apollo. I hadn't been here in ages. We jumped out of the van and security guards helped us with the equipment. We were early, but we didn't care. It was 1pm and we were all starving.

"I'm starving" Dan moaned. "Lil, do you know any good places to eat?"

"Uh, I don't know, I've not been here for years, uh, I think there's somewhere round the corner, a Burger King or something" I said trying to remember my way around Manchester.

"Sure, let's go find it" Dan said hungrily.

We walked around Manchester looking for a place to eat. We found Burger King and walked inside. It was warm, compared to the frosty weather of November, outside. Kyle, Will and myself sat down in a booth and Dan and Woody went to order the food. Dan had a leaf in his hair, so Kyle, Will and I couldn't stop laughing. It made it worse when he turned a round with a 'what?' Look on his face. Tears began to fall down my cheeks as I was laughing so hard. I don't even know why I found it so funny, it was just a leaf. I guess it was just the fact that Dan was completely oblivious to it.

"Oh my god! Lily you're crying!" Kyle laughed.

"I know, oww it hurts!" I laughed holding onto my stomach as my muscles tensed up.

"Guys, what are you laughing at?" Dan said placing a tray of food down on the table.

"N-n-nothing" I said trying to hold the laugh in.

"Seriously guys" Dan said as Woody put another tray on the table and sat next to Dan.

I looked at Kyle and he nodded, signalling that I should tell Dan he has a leaf in his hair. "Y-you have a-a leaf in your h-hair" I giggled.

"What?" Dan said as his hands shot up to his hair and removed the leaf. "I don't get why it's so funny Lil, it's just a leaf" Dan chuckled throwing the leaf away.

"I know, I don't know why I'm laughing" I said as my laughter died down into a giggle.

"Sometimes I wonder what goes on inside your mind" Dan laughed. "Okay, cheeseburger?" He asked and Kyle's hand shot up.

"Me, me, me, oh, oh, me" he sounded like a child who wanted to get picked for something in primary school.

"Chicken burger?" Dan asked.

"Me" Will said and Dan passed him the burger.

"Hamburger, Lily, here you go" Dan smiled as he handed me my burger.

We tucked into our food and devoured it quickly. We talked and laughed for a while and headed out of the restaurant. We caught a bus into the centre as the van was still at the Apollo, with some of our equipment in it.

"Lily, where are we?" Kyle asked looking around the Arndale shopping centre.

"We're in the Arndale shopping centre!" I exclaimed and a few people gave me weird looks.

"Oh, come on, let's go shoppinggg!" Kyle said excitedly.

We laughed and I guided them around the Arndale. Dan had bought another T-shirt. It was white with a red and blue pattern on it. It looked good. I bought a set of bright coloured socks. There was orange, blue, green, pink and yellow. I loved them. Kyle and Woody bought a beanie each and Will didn't buy anything.

We were heading out when I heard someone call my name.

"Lily?" A low voice asked curiously from the side of me.

I turned to see a grown up version of one of my best friends, Jack.

"Jack?" I asked curiously. Was it Jack? He looked so different.

"Oh my god Lily! I've missed you!" He ran over to me and embraced me in a big bear hug.

"Oh my god I've missed you too" I laughed and a tear fell from my eye.

We pulled away and his eyes flickered to the four men watching us.

"Lily?" Jack asked.

"Yeah?"

"Why the hell are you with Bastille?" Jack asked with a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Dan's my legal guardian" I smiled.

"What about Martin?" Jack asked.

Tears formed in my eyes and spilled over as I opened my mouth to speak. "He, uh, died too"

"Oh my god I'm so sorry" Jack embraced me in another hug.

When we pulled away I felt someone else's hand on my shoulder. I spun around to see Dan smiling at me with sympathy in his eyes and I smiled back, wiping the tears from my cheeks.

"Oh, Jack, this is Dan, Kyle, Will and Woody." I said pointing to each of the guys as I said their names. "Dan, Kyle, Will and Woody, this is Jack" I smiled.

"We've heard great things about you" Dan smiled shaking his hand.

"You spoke about me? " Jack asked with a hint of happiness in his voice.

"Yeah, course I did, you were one of my best friends!" I laughed. "How is everyone?"

"Oh, uh, they're okay, I guess, Lauren fell out with us all and joined Megan and the rest of the slut crew. Uh, Jaz moved schools-" Jack started but I cut him off.

"Jaz moved? Where did she go?" I asked curiously.

"To Scotland or something" Jack shrugged.

"Oh" I smiled.

"We've all really missed you" Jack smiled.

"Well when I left, it seemed like only you missed me" I muttered.

"What? Why?" Jack asked.

"You were the only one who checked up on me, who actually kept in contact with me" I smiled.

"Oh" Jack laughed.

"Lilyyy" Kyle called.

"Yes?" I spun around to face Kyle.

"We need to go" he said.

"Oh, crap yeah, I forgot, uh," I checked my watch and remembered that we needed to do a soundcheck. I turned back to Jack. "Uh, I guess I'll see you later" I smiled.

"It was great seeing you again" Jack smiled, engulfing me in a hug.

"Bye" I smiled walking away with the guys.

"Oohh he seems nice" Dan said elbowing me lightly and wiggling his eyebrows.

"Ew Dan no, he was my best friend" I laughed slapping his arm away.

"Was," he winked and nudged me with his elbow, gaining glare from me. "What? I was just saying" Dan said.

"Dann!" I moaned.

"Okay, sorry, I'll shut up" he laughed and raising his arms in a surrendering way.

"Thank you" I sighed.

We hopped off the bus and walked around the back of the Apollo. We snuck inside and walked through to the stage.

"Ah, Bastille, there you are, your on" a man with blonde hair smiled.

"Okay, great" Dan replied and we stepped onto the stage.

"Oh my god" I gasped.

I looked out to the empty arena. It was absolutely massive. The design of the room was beautiful.

"Last time we were here, we supported Two Door, remember?" Dan asked the guys.

"Yeah, it was bloody mental" Woody laughed.


We finish the soundcheck and headed to the back again.

"Dannn" I moaned.

"What?" He replied in the same tone.

"I'm hungryyy" I wined.

"You're always hungry!" He laughed.

"Hey, I'm a growing gal, I need my nutrients" I giggled.

"You're fifteen, haven't you stopped growing now?" He said patting my head.

"No, okay, maybe, I've not grown in a while, but I'm still growing" I said and he raised his eyebrows. "My brain is growing"

"Okay..." He paused. "Fine" he said looking at his watch. "Let's go find something to eat"

"Yay" I clapped my hands and followed Dan as he laughed and walked away.

We walked around the building and found a large table with food on it.

"Oohh" Dan walked over to the table and I followed willingly.

"Mmm" I hummed as I smelled the food.

"Can we eat this?" Dan asked a woman who was stood with a clipboard.

"No, only-" she paused as she looked at us. "Oh, sure, this food is for the bands" she smiled.

"Ooh thanks" Dan said picking up a small sausage roll and shoving it into his mouth. "Mmm"

I laughed at Dan and picked a tiny sausage roll up. I popped it into my mouth and the deliciousness poured into my mouth like a river of rainbows. It was the most amazing thing I've eaten in a while, apart from pizza, that shiz is good.

"Mmm" I hummed as I shoved another in my mouth.

Dan was over at the other end of the table shoving something into his mouth. His face lit up with delight and he ran over to me.

"Try this" he said shoving a mini cucumber and ham sandwich in my face.

I opened my mouth to speak but Dan shoved the mini sandwich inside my mouth.

"Holy cr-umpets, that's amazing!" I said with my mouth full.

"I know right!" Dan laughed.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket and pressed onto the screen a few times. He held it to his ear and waited for an answer.

"Hey! Woody! Get the guys and get over here right now, Lil and I found food and it's delicious!" Dan's aid excitedly.

"Down the right of the stage and turn left" Dan said into the phone. "Okay, byeee" he hung up and put his phone into his pocket.

"They're coming!" He said excitedly.

"Great!" I cheered, picking up another sausage roll.

Kyle, Will, Woody, Dan and I were lying on the floor in a big heap. I looked over to the table which had all the food on it and it was almost empty. Oopsy.

"Doors opening everyone!" A woman shouted.

"Shit" Dan muttered. "Doors open now? It can't be seven already?"

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. It was exactly seven o'clock.

"Yup. Exactly seven" I said. "Ow" I muttered as I dropped my phone on my face.

I was lying down with my head in Dan's lap. He laughed as I picked my phone off my face and sat up, still leaning on Dan though.

"I need my food to digest, like now, or I'll probably throw up onstage" I sighed.

"Me too" Dan huffed.

"Me three" Kyle said rubbing his stomach.

"Bastille! You're on!" A man shouted.

"Okay, let's go!" Kyle cheered.

We laughed and stood up. The lights went out and the audience cheered. We walked towards the stage but I hesitated before stepping across the tape that indicated that I could be seen. Dan grabbed my hand and pulled me on. The lights shone down on us and I blushed as Dan was standing right next to me, he had also not let go of my hand yet.

"Hello, we're Bastille and..." He paused and looked at me.

"I'm Lily" I said into the microphone and the audience screamed.
