Sleepover

"DAN COME ON WE HAVE TO GO!" I shouted as I stood by the door waiting to leave for Chloe's sleepover.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Dan rushed out of his room pulling a T-shirt over his head.

"What took you so long!" I laughed as he threw his grey hoodie on and ran out the door.

"This doesn't happen on it's own" Dan pointed to his hair.

We laughed as we ran into the lift.

Pulling up onto the unfamiliar drive, I turned to Dan.

"I'm going to miss you" I sighed.

"Lily, it's only for the night, I'm staying at Kyle's tonight so either me or Kyle will come and get you in the morning" Dan chuckled.

"Yeah, but still, I'll miss you" I smiled shyly.

"I'm going to miss you too" Dan smiled as we both got out of the car.

I knocked on the door, clutching my rucksack tightly and after a few seconds, a short girl with brown hair and hazel eyes opened the door.

"Lily!" She squealed.

"Chloe!" I squealed in the same tone.

I heard Dan chuckle from behind me. I turned round and flashed him a toothy smile.

"Bye Dan" I smiled hugging him tightly.

"Bye sweetie" he wrapped his arms around my shoulder and squeezed me tightly. "I love you" Dan said in a tone that screamed 'I'm trying to embarrass you'.

I blushed and looked at the floor. "I love you too" I playfully glared at him for embarrassing me.

Dan chuckled and walked back to his car. He waved as he drove off.

"Who is that?" Chloe slowly asked staring after Dan.

"That's my dad" I smiled shyly as we walked inside the cosy house.

"He's hot" she blurted out. A look of shock washed over her face. "Oh god, I didn't mean-oh god sorry, that's your dad, sorry" she rushed.

I burst out laughing as we walked up the stairs and into a large room.

"Lily!" A chorus of squeals filled the air.

Ara, Jasmine, Abby, Isobel and Laura jumped up and enveloped me in a group hug.

"Hello" I laughed.

I sat down on the bouncy bed next to Laura and Jasmine.

"We're just waiting for the others to come and then the fun can start. My parents aren't home, only my brother, but he won't bother us" Chloe smiled.

Right on cue, the doorbell rang and Chloe ran out of the room.

"So, Lily, when was the last sleepover you went to like this, with this many people?" Isobel asked me.

I had to think about that. I only had one friend in London, apart from Josie. Sam. So the last time I went to a sleepover with this many people was probably when I lived in Manchester.

"Um... About three years" I admitted.

Isobel gasped and put her hand on her heart. Chloe walked in with Donna and Kate.

"Well girls, I think we better show Lily what a real sleepover is!" Isobel squealed.

They cheered and I looked around confused. What did she mean by a real sleepover?

"MAKEOVERS!" Jasmine squealed, clapping her hands together.

My breath got caught in my throat. Makeovers? That was not my kind of thing at all.
