I washed the orange juice out of my hair and climbed out of the shower. I quickly changed into my uniform and rubbed my towel over my shoulder length hair. I slipped my glasses on and walked out to find Dan wearing clean shorts and a T-shirt. I slumped onto the sofa next to him and he moved his sticky hair threateningly close to my face.

"No!" I yelled moving away.

"What?" Dan chuckled.

"You're sticky"

"I changed my clothes" Dan stated.

"But your face and hair are still sticky" I prodded his cheek to feel how sticky it was. It was very sticky.

"I have to have a shower for my daughter to hug me? Fine" Dan huffed and stormed into the bathroom in a joking way.

I laughed as he shut the door and moments later, the shower started. I got up and went into my room. I dried my hair with my hairdryer and packed my bag. I walked back out with my bag and dropped it on the floor near the door. I collapsed onto the sofa and switched the TV on. The bathroom door opened and Dan walked out with the same T-shirt and shorts on as before and his hair was wet and flat on top of his head. He smiled at me and I burst out laughing.

"What?" He said running his hand through his wet hair, attempting to stick it up without product.

I couldn't speak, I just laughed and pointed to his hair.

"You're so mean" Dan chuckled and walked into my room.

I raised my eyebrows. Why was he going into my room? Suddenly the hairdryer started and I nodded to myself. He was just drying his hair. I turned my attention to the screen and watched the news. I got bored so I flicked through the channels. I stopped on a music channel and burst out laughing. The music video for Pompeii appeared before my eyes and I watched as Dan awkwardly ran around on the TV. The hairdryer stopped and Dan emerged from my room. His hair was almost in its usual style, it was sticking up, but flopped slightly at the tips. He stormed over to me and snatched the remote out of my hands, turning the TV off.

"Aw Dan" I moaned.

"Why were you watching that?" Dan moaned, sitting down next to me.

"Because a) I love the song, b) you're my dad and you're on TV, that's a pretty wicked and c) you look funny, awkwardly running around" I laughed.

Dan huffed and crossed his arms. He checked his watch and stood up, walking into the bathroom. I leaned my head back on the sofa and closed my eyes. I was starting to fall asleep when Dan came out of the bathroom, his hair fully styled. I smiled at him and he walked into his room, returning after a few seconds. He had replaced his shorts with his trademark back jeans. He checked his watch again and walked over to me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up from the sofa.

"Shoes, let's go" Dan instructed, slipping his converse on.

"Yes sir" I saluted him with my hand and slipped my feet into my ugly school shoes.

"Have you got everything? Bag? Phone?" Dan asked.

"Bag, check, phone, no" I said running into my room and picking my phone up.

I walked back out and Dan smiled.

"Now are you ready?" He asked as I pushed my arms into the sleeves of my blazer.

"Yup" I said popping the 'p'.

"Let's gooo" he sang opening the door. "Waiiiiit" he sang, turning round and running back into the flat.

"Okay..." I played with the sleeve of my blazer until Dan came back out, pushing his arms into the sleeves of his grey hoodie.

I laughed and we walked down to the car. We climbed in and Dan turned the key, starting the engine. He smiled at me before driving off towards school.
