♥Alexandria's POV♥

When I arrived at home, I smiled as I entered the lounge. To my surprise, my mother was seated on the white sofa with a cup of tea nearby, as if though she had awaited my arrival.

"Good afternoon mother," I greeted with glee and gave her kiss on her cheek before taking a seat next to her.

"Good afternoon dear. How was school?" she asked and gave me her undivided attention.

I enjoyed these moments that I could have with my mother and father because I knew they would somehow later be swooped away from me with their duties.

"It was great, I made some acquaintances and friends. Everyone there has been friendly thus far," I replied enthusiasticly. "I really appreciate you and father giving me this opportunity."

"Oh my dear, we should have done it a long time ago but we wanted to protect you from everything out there and keep you all to ourselves. Forgive us?"

"Of course mother," I stated with an understanding smile.

"Either way, I am really glad that you have made friends, to be honest I have been worried about you whole day and it took everything in me, not to phone and ask how everything was going." Her mother explained but she seemed to be at ease now that I was in her presence.

"I am glad you did not," I said and then remembered that we had a ball to attend this evening, "Should we not be preparing?"

It seemed to have slipped my mother's mind her eyes widened in realization, "Yes- you are right. Let's go."

Mother and I parted ways to get ready separately, I was upstairs in my room and a gorgeous red dress caught my eye. I was quickly ordered to be seated and soon my make-up was complete, my blonde hair styled to perfection with the tiara and the dress fit like a glove.

My hands trailed down the railing as I walked down the staircase, with a silver clutch in hand. Paul escorted me to the limosuine, where my parents were already waiting.

"My dear, what have I taught you about time?" Father asked me, once I adjusted to the comfortable seat.

"That it is better to be kept waiting than to be waited on," I replied with a sheepish smile.

"Precisely, now why are you late?" He asked with an expected brow.

To my rescue, my mother voiced her opinion and winked in my direction, "Honey, a future queen is never late, everyone else is simply early."

I smiled as my father just shook his head at the both of us. Then it occurred to me that my mother had used a line from a movie we watched, however I failed to remember the title of it.

We arrived at the palace and there were people everywhere dressed accordingly as well. Once my family exited the limosuine there was a line of staff who awaited our arrival and all bowed in our presence. I respectfully nodded in their direction with a smile and waved at Marie, my former maid, who returned it with a heartwarming smile.

We were whisked into the palace and found ourselves at the top of the velvet red staircase to be introduced, "Presenting, the royal family of Crystallia. King James, his wife, Queen Jessica and their beautiful daughter, Princess Alexandria," the announcer proclaimed, as we descended gracefully from the staircase.

Many eyes were on us, but I was used to it, my only fear ever was falling down this staircase, so when I reached the last step, I was relieved.

"Then also, presenting the royal family of Frost Crest Kingdom, King Edward, his wife, Queen Emerald and their handsome son, Prince Jesse."
