Tom breathed a sigh of relief as he turned towards the Butterflys, where every member of the family was a tear-stained, puffy-eyed wreck.
Marco's last push for an attack had been extremely suprising, but now Tom was totally through with Marco Diaz now, he never had to worry about him ever again.
The redhead crouched down and lowered himself to Star's level, as she sat there, tears streaming down her face. The blond seemed to be mumbling something underneath her breath, but Tom couldn't have cared less about what she was saying.

"How's that?" He asked the future queen of Mewni. "I've destroyed your one and only beacon of hope! How does it feel to be plunged headfirst into depression?"
Star tried to suppress her tears, as Tom continued to ridicule her. The blond just couldn't believe that Marco was gone...just like that...
It was already painful for her as she remembered his smile and his large brown eyes that were always brimming with curiosity. The princess recalled all the special, loving moments she and Marco had spent together...
That time when they were cloud-watching together or when the two of them made love...
Star couldn't forget the that they met in person either...
Everybody was mourning the loss of Marco Diaz, even her Mom and Dad;  who barely knew the guy, but paid their respects anyway.
Star realised that she was probably going to have to be the one to break the terrible news to Marco's parents as well...

"YOU'RE SCUM, TOM! I HATE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING!" Sear erupted, her emotions torn between anger and anguish.
"Well, thank you! Now, how about you guys crown me King of Mewni already?" The redhead replied, confidently sitting back onto the throne.
"Y-You'll never be King of Mewni, not whilst I'm still alive!" River said, furiously. "A murderer like you, doesn't need any powers like that!"
The redhead stood back up out of the large, important-looking chair, smiling sinerstly, as he approached River, who's face was now totally pale...
"S-Stay back!" The king ordered, completely intimidated by the rich kid.
"Listen here Gramps, I've already soiled these hands, so what difference would it make to me if I killed you?"

Even through her tears, Sear could make out a glistening, clear, crystal bottle catching the light inside of Tom's trouser pockets.
"Tom..." she began, also quite terrified; but wanting to get her question across. "Before you do anything, answer me this"
The redhead's attention turned from River to Sear in an instant.
"Oh? And what would that be?" He replied, confidently.
"Why did you bring two potions to this battle?"
"Two? Oh yeah, I forgot about the other potion...One of them is a potion that completely heals you up as well as giving the drinker more power and the other one is a powerful poison that kills a person instantly"
Tom dug into his trouser pockets and pulled out a liquid that was a dark, dangerous-looking green colour.
"This is the power-up potion here, I can tell because I labelled it's cap with a star" the redhead explained, looking at the cap of the bottle only to find a skull and crossbones symbol. "H-Huh? But this is the power-up potion, I'm positive of it!"

The redhead darted over to Marco's body and found the cap. He fumbled with it in his hands, nervously; trying  to look at the symbol.

A star...

Tom sat down, weak in his knees. It looked like things had taken a completely different turn now; but he didn't want to admit it...
Star noticed his expression and the way the redhead behaved, it seemed like he was scared of something...

"S-So...Marco Diaz drank the Power-Up potion and not the poison?" Tom squeaked, as everything began to fit into place like a big jigsaw puzzle.
"Yeah...it looks that way..." came a voice that the rich kid was never supposed to hear again.
A voice which annoyed, angered and scared him all at the same time...
Tom could only watch as Marco Diaz picked himself up off of the floor, his wounds were fully healed and he wore a defiant, angry look on his face.
But the most obvious new feature about the Safe Kid was his glowing, serious-looking blue eyes...

Tom gulped, just as Marco cracked his knuckles, menacingly...
"C-Can't we just talk about this?" The redhead asked, hopefully.
Marco shook his head, simply.
At this very moment in time, actions spoke louder than words!
