"Daddy, isn't that the girl on tv?" A little girl pointed to me.

"I doubt it sweetie. Even if it is we shouldn't bother her." The father went back to reading the book he had in his hands. The little girl looked super disappointed so I decided that I could cheer up, I needed something to cheer me up.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation and I just wanted y'all to know it's fine if y'all wanna say hi."

"Who are you exactly?" The dad asked me.

"I'm Abigail smith aka the girl on tv." The little girls jaw dropped and the dad just stared.

"My name's Abigail too!" She said hugging me. I laughed and hugged her back.

"It's great to meet another Abigail."

"Ms.Smith! I'm sorry I didn't recognize you although of course you're wearing the uniform!" The dad apologized.

"Please just call me Abigail!" Everyone turned towards us probably from overhearing our conversation. They all began to whisper in each other's ear and suddenly the miserable waiting room was filled with smiles. It made me feel amazing to make this impact. Everyone was circling me for autographs. People complimented my pitching.

"That scoundrel didn't spike you so bad that you had to come back here did you?" One of the people asked.

"Thankfully not! Yeah I'm here for-" My glance shifted from the people to the tv.

"We just got news that Aaron Nola is currently being tested for a concussion." I gulped, how could this happen.

"My friend, Aaron." I finished and looked down at the ground. Everyone got silent, they all knew what happened to him. I felt my eyes fill with tears. My throat tightened up and I could tell, I was near tears. Just before I began crying Abigail gave me a hug. It honestly made me feel so much better. "Sorry I don't know why this is making me cry so much. I'm probably just gonna make y'all miserable."

"It's ok. Daddy's really worried about mommy's head. He cries about it sometimes even though he never cries, but he cries cause he loves her." This little girl understands me better than me.  It had never occurred to me that maybe I loved Aaron. But as soon the thought entered my mind, I shook it out.

"That's sweet! I'm sorry to hear that."

"I know they'll both be ok. That way you and daddy can stop crying for them and be able to love them happily again."

"Oh I don't love Aaron!" I said covering my mouth, pretending to be embarrassed.

"Why not? He's so cute!"

"Do you have a crush on him Miss Abigail?!"

"Maybe..." She was so adorable when she blushed.

"You know what,I'll tell him he's gotta gorgeous admirer that he's gotta date."

"Really?!"

"Of course!" For one second everything was better, everything was back to normal. It was becoming clear to me that Aaron was becoming a bit of a heartthrob.

"Abigail?" A nurse came in to call me in. I took a deep breath and gave Abigail one last hug.

"Yes?"

"He's ready to see you."

"Thank you for telling me."

"Bye Abigail! I won't forget to tell him I promise!" I hugged her again, tightly.

"Thanks! He'll be fine, I know it! I'll look for you!" She waved goodbye as I stood up and left.

"They ran some concussion tests on him and..." She trailed off.

"What's the news?" We stopped in front of a room.

"They were positive, he has a concussion. Doctor says he's lucky he lived but he shouldn't be back for a couple weeks. He's asleep now but you're welcome to see him." I sighed and nodded. Concussion, dl, lucky he lived. This isn't real this is a dream! This has to be a dream!  Aaron lay asleep on a bed in the center of the room. He didn't look like himself at all he looked too weak. The nurse left as I took a seat next to the bed. I took his hand in mine and kissed it. Aaron remained asleep, occasionally tossing. I had started to drift off when I was woken up by someone calling my name.

"Abigail?" I looked up at Aaron, he was sitting up and  I had fallen asleep in the chair with my head resting on my hand.

"What is it Aar?"

"My head hurts." He put a hand to his eye.

"Don't touch it." He removed his hand.

"Why are you here?"

"I wasn't gonna leave you."

"Thanks but you don't have to stay."

"No I do besides there's no way I'd be able to sleep with you hurt." He smiled weakly, I missed his old smile.

"Well if you're gonna sleep here at least sleep comfortably in the bed." He moved over so I could come in with him.

"I'm not gonna do that you need it more."

"There's plenty of room, besides it'd make me feel better."

"Really?"

"Yeah." I came in and set my head on his chest. I fell asleep quickly to the rhythm of his breath. We shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be hurt. He should be safe and healthy in the hotel. If he didn't know me, he'd be fine. The team wouldn't have been so miserable. We wouldn't have  lost.

"Good morning Mr.Nola and Ms.Smith." We woke up to a nurse's voice.

"Good morning." Aaron took his arm off me and I got out of the bed.

"I just wanted to let you know your family's on the way Mr.Nola." His family? This would be the first time I met them. They had to like me.
